No parts No refunds and Fraudulaent product descriptionGeoffreyI purchased a Grillskar grill from IKEA, along with matching sink and cabinets for an outdoor kitchen. The grill was covered and protected, yet within a year it rusted out completely, compromising the gas system and making it unsafe. I returned to the store and requested either replacement parts or a refund. IKEA’s website claims “you can easily remove parts when the needs change,” implying modularity. However, I was told parts are not sold separately, and customers must buy an entirely new grill—even when rust occurs despite proper care. Despite multiple contacts with store and corporate personnel, no solution has been offered. This reflects a failure in product quality, misleading claims, and poor customer support.1
Old rust bucketKateIf you are looking for a grill that will rust out in less than a year so you too can have an old rust bucket, then this is the grill for you!
We have the whole outdoor kitchen set and the grill is the only piece that we have covered. It has rusted on the lid and the inside. We thought we could bring it back to IKEA to either get it replaced or possibly order new parts only to be told that nope, there is no parts that can be ordered. Of course it’s also not under any warranty. This is not a cheap grill! Wild that IKEA has nothing set up for replacement parts on an item that is part of a whole outdoor set.
Our whole house is basically ikea items because under normal circumstances, ikea takes care of their customers. It seems their cut off is this grill.
I hope others read this review and steer clear of this grill! I mean unless you want to join the old rust bucket club I’m starting. 1
grill grates and grease guards rustedJordangreat grill just can't find replacement grill grates or grease covers. You wold think that would be possible. called, emailed and messaged customer service to no avail. 1
Rusted out within 18 months, no warranty and no replacement parts available FrankMy GrillSkar rusted out within 18 months. There's no warranty and no common replacement grill grates or basin available, you have to purchase a whole new unit. You are much better off buying a new or used Weber with a 10 year warranty , or been a Charbroil since they at least have replacement parts available. AVOID1
Great value, Great Looking and very consistent performanceJennyMany have expressed concerns about the missing back on the unit. I believe the back is missing for safety purposes to prevent an accidental explosion from propane building up inside the cabinet. I was worried but now that it is in, I am very pleased. It is lovely to look at, understated and very well designed. The performance of the burners is very consistent.5
Disappointed it didn’t back cover on the grill. Most would expect grill box to be completely covered as other grills do!MarkLikely the designers never actually owned a grill and didn’t consider the asesthetics. Please provide at least a back cover to the grill. IEKA could have provided it or list it as an assessory. IKEA provides back sides and front doors for a table or burner pieces to store dishware. Also, designers souls should have provided hooks to hang grill tools. Scratching my head!! Thought the Swede designers were thorough in grill designs. This product is not superior to most other grill brands. Could’ve gotten more for less money. Sorry IKEA. I was generous in my ratings.4

No back?CarlosIt puzzles me that there is no back cover. Not a good experience so far.1
Easy to assemble. But, no back to it?!LorynI put it together solo pretty easily. But, there was no backside piece. Thought I’d missed something, but I looked on the website and saw no pictures of the backside of it. And no instruction page about installing a backside. Seems odd, esp in terms of keeping the heat box warm. Time will tell. I’ve only used it twice so far - did fine.4
