It's actually quite heavy, and the glass doesn't feel thin or cheap, although I can see how some people wouldn't like the weight. I personally love it, and feel that it adds to the high quality feel. I love how you have the option of a metal insert, as its such a smart and useful idea. I only wish that the insert also came in silver.5
