Love them but small cracks on seat baseMichalWe purchased 3 of the white and I love them! However, there are small cracks on the seat around one of the screws on all 3 of them. I don’t think we screwed them to tight so not sure why it’s cracking. I was hopeful that ikea would send me 3 replacement tops. 3

Beware: the feet horribly scratched up my wood flooringRebeccaI've had these stool for many years in two locations (8 in total), and I'm finally getting rid of them because I can't take the hassle of having to replace the adhesive felt pads I've been forced to apply to the feet because they scratch my floors. They are always shifting off to the side because the surface area of the feet is both too small and plastic so the pads won't stay in place. It's a constant battle, and my oak floors have been damaged to the point that I have to sand and refinish my entire kitchen in order to remove the scratches. Unless you have linoleum or fabricated flooring where scratches might not be so noticeable, or you can replace just that section at a minimal cost, do not purchase these stools.3

Choose the right height of your bar stool so that it is comfy to sit on, offers plenty of leg room and is proportionate with the rest of your space. Kitchen counters and counter-height tables typically range from 34-36" from the floor. To find the perfect stool for your counter, look for a seat height of 23-26". Tabletops or counters that measure between 39-42" from the floor, are typically classified as "bar height”, and require a seat height of 28-30".
