Nice design and pretty high qualityLynneI know some people don’t like how tiny the dinner forks are, and it’s true. These are some dainty forks. But I need a small fork to slow me down when I’m eating, so I appreciate it. All the other pieces are perfect. I think the quality of the stainless could be improved. I’m seeing tiny rust stains already after two months. 4

Too lightweight & flimsyAnonymousI bought this set a while ago in Atlanta. Since the designer has a Swedish name I thought this was a Swedish product. But I did not notice that it was in fact made in China. I believe your online description of this flatware should say that it is Made in China. This set turned out to be too small and too lightweight. Maybe great for children but not for adults. In future I will refrain from buying Chinese products.2

What is stainless steel?

Stainless steel is found in everything from building structures and cars to sinks and knives. It’s easy to see why it has so many uses. Stainless steel is hard and durable and has good resistance to corrosion – namely rust. It generally has a low nickel content, and for IKEA products we mainly use stainless steel that’s nickel-free. Like many other metals, it can be recycled again and again to become new, hardwearing items – without losing its valuable properties.

When I designed GAMMAN, I wanted to make modern flatware with a traditional exterior, so I looked to the past and studied older forks, spoons and knives to end up with the precise look I was after. GAMMAN flatware is thin, graceful and lightweight, yet rustic and sturdy ‒ making them easy to hold. The sense of quality is evident as soon as you touch them ‒ and lasts throughout the meal."
