great for adults tooKristinThis desk has been a pleasure to look at and use. Like most adults my height (5'3") and under, I spent decades using desks that were too high for me. There are virtually no desks built for adults that are low enough for me, so I had to lift my chair too high and put something under my feet. When I finally did a search for a lower desk, I was led to the Pahl children's desk which is, like the Filsat, adjustable at three heights. But it sets at 22", 26", and 30" while the Filsat sets at 20", 24" and 28". The 26" is perfect for me to use my computer on and I was happy to find a plain, sturdy desk that was finally a great fit. More recently I bought the Flisat which I set at 24" and use for writing in longhand and drawing. I love it. It's design and materials are so inviting, it just draws me to it. I am grateful to Ikea for making these two great desks at an affordable price. I suggest you try it if you're not tall and stop the awkwardness of using a desk that's too high.
