The side walls make this duvet extra thick and fluffy.

The stitched inner walls retain the heat, giving you a warmer sleep environment.

A good choice if you often feel cold while sleeping.

The comforter is machine-washable at 140°F/60°C, a temperature that kills dust mites.

Down and feathers are natural materials which helps to regulate body temperature and maintain comfort throughout the night.

Best Duvet insert.FawnaI’ve had down duvets for over 30 years. It’s heavy weight and warm. Perfect for fall/winter. Very soft. Amazing pice. Amazing quality!5
Update from Bad odor reviewYesulWe just had to wash it and air dry for a few days for the smell to disappear. We've had this duvet for a couple months now and we LOVE IT. It's very warm, heavy duty, comfortable, and cozy. I would definitely recommend buying this duvet. I didn't know how to edit my old review titled 'Bad odor'. Good price for the quality.5
Perfect weight down comforterMary KI have been searching for a reasonably priced down comforter for a while. I am not willing to pay $800+ hotel collection version. I wanted the light luxe bedding feel like I experienced in European hotels. We have multiple synthetic alternative comforter inserts of different weights and they perform beautifully. But this IKEA down version is sublime. It’s light fluffy and feels very different than other comforters. It is just the right amount of warm with a duvet cover. I am very happy with this gem.5
Bad odorYesulIs it supposed to smell really nasty? It smelled nasty upon opening of the product so we washed it as directed and completely dried it. It still smells nasty like chemicals. Is this normal?3
Best duvet insert!MarinaNot too warm, comfortably warm. I've had a difficult time finding a comforter--either too hot or too light and cold. This one hits the perfect spot. I love it.5
Great blanketChrisWe use the blanket inside a Duvet and it's perfect for keeping us warm in these winter months. 5
LOVE this duvet! Five stars! Perfect LauraPerfect duvet insert! It’s like sleeping under a cloud. Warm but breathable. 5
To me it’s heavyMarieI’m going to give it one more night. Last night was my first night sleeping with it. To me, it’s heavy and I do feel like it is warm. I don’t feel like in the Summer this duvet is going to be good. Time will tell4
Good but not perfectMirkoWorks great during winter time, but it is a little too warm for the rest of the year. At this price i was expecting a 3 season duvet. It feels like a cloud tho4
Good Quality ProductCandeeKeeps us warm. Well made and constructed. Better than the cats!5
Light weight but warmSharonThis is light weight but keeps you warm but not hot. I like that it’s not a heavy comforter and it’s very soft.5
Light duvet, wrinkled in appearanceElizabethNice light duvet which has a wrinkled appearance between the sewn lines in material which looks good, meant to be that way and I like it. Soft. 5
The BEST!JenniePerfect winter weight comforter.5
Cozy and comfortable JolantaI was hesitant about buying this duvet. I didn’t want to spent money on something that I didn’t know If I would like it 🧐 Well spent money!!!! I love it !!!!! I also got the Down pillows and I Love sleeping in my bed now :)5
Light but warm VictorExcellent value. The Fjalhavre was way too warm for us in central Illinois. The weight was nice, though. 5
Down quilt is so warm!CarolWe live in an older house with leaky windows and needed a better quilt for our king sized bed. It was 90% down and really keeps us warm. Love it!5
Love this duvetCathyWell made and perfect for our king size bed!5
Had to exchange…JacquelineI originally got the queen sized version of this but when I brought it home and opened it up, it didn’t fit my duvet cover… it was too short. Had to exchange it for the king. Now it fits perfectly in my queen sized duvets. I wish it was more lofty and fluffy. I also wish Ikea sold this in extra warm but it seems like the extra warm is only sold outside of the United States from my quick research online.4
Nice comforterJacquelineI had been searching for a good feather down comforter and came across this one at the store while looking for pillows. It’s a good standard comforter but I wish it had just a bit more fluff and fullness to it. Would have been nice if it were filled a bit more to have that thick pillow-top look and feel to it but for this price, it’s good enough to keep.4
Loft & WarmthErinHave had my first comforter for 5 years and it has not shifted or flattened. Just ordered a second for the guest room! I love how it makes my bed look well made and has a great loft. We use it year round but may be too warm for some folks in the hotter months. Recommend always using a duvet cover!5

How to care for your down/feather duvet

With a little care, you can prolong the life of your down/feather duvet and keep it fresh. The filling has a natural smell which can be reduced by airing or washing. Wash the duvet separately with a mild detergent (1/3 of the normal amount) on delicate cycle at 60°C. Avoid bleach/fabric softeners. Tumble dry immediately on low heat. A dryer ball or a high-quality tennis ball in the dryer will ensure more efficient drying. Air your duvet regularly, if possible, in direct sunlight.
