The high amount of down in the filling makes the duvet light and fluffy.

Down and feathers are natural materials which helps to regulate body temperature and maintain comfort throughout the night.

The comforter is machine-washable at 140°F/60°C, a temperature that kills dust mites.

Half of the duvet is missing filling...SebastianI've been buying IKEA duvets for for over 2 decades, however just got the king size FJÄLLBRÄCKA and half of the duvet was missing its filling. I exchanged it for a new one, and it had the same issue, nice and fluffy on one side and no filling at the other (so your feet are freezing). I'm very disappointed to see their quality declining.1

Uneven feather distributionLaurenI like a lot about this duvet insert but the down/feather filling is pretty sparse in the middle panels. The outer panels are nice and fluffy and full but the middle is thin. When I hold it up to the light, I can see why I'm freezing at night because it's so uneven, even though I got the warm version. Uneven distribution of downMissyWe have had this comforter for awhile, but right out of the bag it didn’t quite fluff up. I thought I needed to give it time, per the insert, so we gave it time. This is on my oldest son’s bed. He isn’t one to complain, but I recently noticed he always has on an extra blanket. So today, I was remaking his bed with fresh linens and upon closer inspection, the entire middle of this comforter is pretty much without fill!! See picture. ***I can’t figure out how to attach a pic, will try as I submit the review. We’ve had this for months and I don’t quite know what to do about it. It’s way too expensive to not have down sewn into each pocket correctly! Not happy! 2

How to care for your down/feather duvet

With a little care, you can prolong the life of your down/feather duvet and keep it fresh. The filling has a natural smell which can be reduced by airing or washing. Wash the duvet separately with a mild detergent (1/3 of the normal amount) on delicate cycle at 60°C. Avoid bleach/fabric softeners. Tumble dry immediately on low heat. A dryer ball or a high-quality tennis ball in the dryer will ensure more efficient drying. Air your duvet regularly, if possible, in direct sunlight.
