No ties/loops.PatriciaHave to secure to cover with safety pins or sew on ties/loops for securing to duvet covers. Other than that, wonderful!4
Super comfortable & the right amount of warmthAmandaI purchased one of these 7 years ago and it traveled with us in our camper and kept me and my two little humans warm when they would crawled into our bed during the winter months. It got damaged when we were moving to our new home. I was super excited when my husband and I found a king size one at a local Ikea and got it before they sold out this fall. If you follow the directions to air it out and clean it, it will last for a while and still be white with two little humans. I'll highly recommend buying one this winter. Thanks Ikea.5
Lovely duvet insertChristaThis twin duvet insert was perfect for my daughter’s dorm room in Brooklyn, New York.5
It's stinkyBeinaIt's very stinky for a kid to use. Not happy with that.2
It is so comfortable !DipaIt's light breathable and comfortable.5
CoolSamuelThis bedspread keeps us cool. I wish it fluffed up quicker. It is still pretty flat.4
Perfect warm weather duvetKristinaWe bought this for my 3yr old and his new bed. It has been a huge hit. His first duvet. Even now, nearly a month on, he's still excited to snuggle into it. It's so easy to wash and dry. Some previous reviews had said that it smelt bad after washing, but ours was fine. I followed the care instructions - washed it on a warm/hot wash (from memory), Medium temperature in dryer and put some dryer balls in with it to help get the feathers fluffed up and evenly spread again. I imagine if it's left to air dry from wet, it will have the "wet dog smell" .5
Smells so bad BeccaI’m not one to normally notice smells on new products but this hit me the second I opened it. I tried washing many, many times even with switching my detergents and soaking it and I could not get the smell out of this thing. It’s genuinely sickening. I have never in my life had this issue with any other duvet. Sadly, I am not located near an ikea store to return it so I’m stuck with this stinky blanket. Listen to all the reviews talking about odor issues! 1
Like a cloud BethPerfect fit, easy to use and care for. Quality is great and worked perfectly with my duvet.5
In LoveJenniferAt this price point I had lower expectations but wanted to get the best bang for my buck. This duvet is awesome! It smells awful at first. I put it in the washer straightaway and it smells even worse when it is wet. But after fully drying, it does not smell. It is fluffy, but airy, and has that lovely crispy feel from real feathers. Not too warm, either - which is a big thing for a post 50-something woman like myself! My husband said it’s the best sleep he’s had in a long time!5
My favorite comforter!NatalieBought two years ago for my bed and it’s perfect year round. Started replacing all comforters in my house with this one as well as giving as gifts! Love it!5
Size not the same in website SarahThe actual size of this duvet is not the same in the dimensions shown on the website. Very misleading. It does not fit my king size bed properly or the duvet cover I purchased from IKEA.1
Light warm blanketAnnetteThis light blanket is perfect for the summer months. It fits right in the duvet cover. We like it!!5
Vomit Smell Doesn't Come OutSarahIt smells like vomit when wet. I have had it 6 months. I washed and dried it many times the smell isn't going away. 1
crinkle, crunch, swish, Fjallarnika... it's too loud. also pokey.NickIt's loud, crinkly by your ears. if it wasn't so stiff, feathers would poke you. I tried. I really did. after my first duvet return I was feeling wasteful. I wanted a radhusvin, but I was told IKEA was no longer using wool as a filler material, which made me sad. I didn't want plastic bedding. An employee said I should look at other natural fillers, which really gave me hope! In terms of natural fillers, there was ... duck feathers. that's it. not hemp. not flax. not wool, not lyocell, not rayon...not even recycled cotton! ...So I tried it. Loud, crinkly, I could feel feathers snapping and folding beneath me, my sleep suffered. One night, I felt a sharp pain and sat up, thinking it was my duvet!... but the pain didn't stop. Almost glad it was me, I went to a mirror, and lo and behold... it was my duvet... or rather, a feather from it, that stuck in my back, and was still there. I have bled because of this nonsense. feathers aren't luxury. it's straw bedding from an animal instead.1
Too small for a kingJulieThe king size on the website is 120 x 86, but the real dimensions are width 75 x lenght 86. What we received was labelled king size, so they are spreading misinformation about the dimensions on the website. Otherwise it's great, once you get the dead poultry smell out, it was a terrible week, we washed it around 20 times, but no smell at all once we were done. It will take a LOT of time and efforts to get to no smell though, good luck.2
Perfect for year 'roundKyleThis is the second time I've purchased this blanket. I wore the last one out over the past 10 years or so. It does seem like this new one is a little thicker and warmer than the last one - but very good.5
definitely lightMarthaI knew it was light weighted but I was expecting a little fluff. It is bare bones filling and not like the one I bought years ago. It will do fine for a cover in the summer in south Texas.3

How to care for your down/feather duvet

With a little care, you can prolong the life of your down/feather duvet and keep it fresh. The filling has a natural smell which can be reduced by airing or washing. Wash the duvet separately with a mild detergent (1/3 of the normal amount) on delicate cycle at 60°C. Avoid bleach/fabric softeners. Tumble dry immediately on low heat. A dryer ball or a high-quality tennis ball in the dryer will ensure more efficient drying. Air your duvet regularly, if possible, in direct sunlight.
