This feature is what makes these cabinets easy to install.Anonymous reviewerThis is the one part of the installation that you want to take your time with. Ensure that the brackets are installed perfectly on the wall for a quick installation of the actual cabinets. You will need shims, as no wall is perfectly level. If you do this correctly and make sure everything is aligned properly, your cabinets will slip on and fit together with little to no effort.
Works Great, but Seems OverpricedJosephThis bracket works great providing support for a heavy countertop across the gap along the top of a base cabinet between the front and rear top brackets, but it seems overpriced for a fairly simple piece of metal and some screws.
Part of kitchen remodelAnonymous reviewerThese were used by installer to support new quartz countertop only been a few months but doing the job!
Great part for the under countertopMargarytaWe installed our cabinets and used this part all in between the cabinets to support quartz countertop. Installs fast and serves its purpose
UsefulAnonymous reviewerSturdy. Useful and cheap
Multiple usesAnonymousNot well documented at all, but from what I have seen and read, this is used for multiple purposes: for a thinner counter top with a built up front edge, as described in another post, these may be used to raise the countertop high enough so the top drawers will open, or (as was recommended to me at IKEA in stoughton) to raise countertop high enough so that the filler panel below the farmhouse sink, with its exposed front apron, fits below the sink and above the doors (or just trim off the top of the filler panel instead?). These are also installed flush to the tops of the cabinet as shims to perfectly match the height of front and back rail when installing stone countertop so it does not crack. Also, as pictured in installation instructions, it is used on wall where countertop will bridge won open space that does not have base cabinet on both sides.
I think this is designed so you can raise it upAnonymousI think the intent of this product is the Raise up your formica countertops if you use a thinner formica countertop from Home depot that has a decorative edge on it. If you didnt it would hit the drawers opening. This is unlike the Ikea counters which are one thick slab you lay on top of the cabinets. This is why its pictured raised up in the photo, yet the instructions have it being flat.
Photo shown here is completely wrongChristinaI think this piece will be helpful in our kitchen install, but just wanted to point out that the way that IKEA has this installed on the photos shown here, is COMPLETELY wrong. The purpose of this piece is to build up the top of the sides of the base cabinets slightly so if you are installing countertops, they sit level on all 4 sides. I'm not quite sure what IKEA was thinking when they installed this piece for the photo but it should be flush with the top of the base cabinets, not sitting up high like that. The instructions that come with the FIXA countertop support fixture are correct, so if you follow those you will be fine. If IKEA does correct this photo, please delete my review so people aren't confused!
Installation instructions do not match photosAnonymousI hope I've installed the product correctly. The printed instructions have the top metal edge of the fixture sitting flush on top of the cabinet while the photos on the website show the fixture raised. I don't know what's correct.

What is steel?
Steel has unique characteristics when it is stretched and shaped since it remains strong. It provides strength to everything from skyscrapers and cars to bed frames and outdoor furniture. The steel industry is moving in the direction of more energy-efficient production and stronger steel qualities. It doesn’t lose any of its properties when recycled and today steel is one of the most recycled materials in the world.
