Reviews

Love it but the instructionsJessicaLove it but the instructions given to assemble are complicated and not thoroughly step by step i and others felt like some parts of the instructions were missing important parts and it should have been explained better to the reader. Also pretty expensive to be so small but overall great quality ,comfortable and very nice5
Perfect sectional!MeganWe were able to build this to fit our space perfectly. Plenty of people can sit comfortably on this couch and we are super happy!5
ComfyCarlaThere aren't many reviews for the Finnala products, and what I saw worried me, so I thought I'd post this for others. I'm now sitting on my couch. I got this with a single section and a corner section. I was replacing an older Friheten that I really didn't like. Of the things that worried me in other reviews: 1) I got all the parts, and this was a big order, with several other things included; 2) my cushions fully inflated within an hour, and the covers are smooth on them. Granted, you have to kind of wrestle the covers on, because they fit closely, but you know you're going to be doing that when you order a flat pack sofa; 3) my cushions don't feel or look lumpy. You do have to kind of tug them up into the top corners; 4) I'm not sure what the person who was complaining about a plastick-y feel meant, exactly. The only thing I can think of is that they left the tags on the inner cushions, and yes, those make a crinkly sound. If you are feeling ambitious, you could cut all the tags off, or make sure they're oriented on the bottom of the cushion when you put it in the cover. I'll probably do this at some point. Last night I was too tired to care. 5) there is no way this couch would come apart unless it's assembled incorrectly in the first place. That said, it's true the arms attach at the bottom only. They feel super sturdy to me. If you have kids who'll be hardcore climbing the arms a lot, you could maybe reinforce them along the sides, but then it'll make it harder to change the cover if you want to do that later. My kid is 12 and more of a sofa lounger than climber, so that's not a worry for me. Other things to note: I got the light beige color, not the dark beige. It's heathered, and it's kind of like a very light grey and off white mix. Some folks complained about the fabric being scratchy. I can see what they're saying. To me it kind of feels like a wool, or maybe a fabric that's been scotch-guarded. I wanted a very flat fabric that was less likely to attract and hold pet hair, so it's fine for us. If you are really sensitive about fabric texture, maybe get the cotton blend fabric that they offer instead of the all polyester cover. The cushions, while firm, are much softer than the Friheten. The back is higher, too. I'm really happy to have a sofa with arms you can lean on. In terms of depth, I can sit on this cross legged comfortably, but can also still sit up if I want my feet resting on the ground (I'm 5'7). When I measure the actual seat depth, I get 24 inches, which is deeper than what they're claiming. It's great for laying sideways because you can lean on the arms, which are more cushy than I expected. I thought they'd be hard. Anyway, I hope this review helps anyone else who is kind of paralyzed by the negative reviews. I'm glad we got it. It's a big improvement for us.5

Material

What is cotton?

Cotton is one of the world's most appreciated and used natural fibers. Textiles in cotton are soft, hardwearing and can be washed at high temperatures. They are also good at breathing and absorbing moisture – making them pleasant to wear close to the body. Today at IKEA we use more and more recycled cotton and strive to make sure that all the new cotton we use has been grown and produced with less and less amounts of pesticides, fertilizers and water.
