The only slight negative is that studies have shown that tiny plastic bits from the knife cuts may get into food. I don’t know to avoid it, and this issue is not only related to these cutting boards.5

These cutting boards make wonderful drawer and shelf liners; put the sticky side up to keep things in the drawers from sliding around.5
