Flaky Coating Came as a SurprisePaulAttractive candle with silky finish burned brightly and evenly. But after the candle was first lit, the very thin coating or film on the outside looked like cellophane covering the pool of melted wax around the wick. Breaking that initial film improved burning, and the film melted into the wax pool. But when the soft wax at the rim was gently pressed in, very thin flakes of the film would come off. Not much of a problem; just surprising.
