Still working great 15 or so years inJjCame to see if this was still available, to recommend it to someone. Dug it out yesterday for the Thanksgiving turkey, replaced the ancient battery, and it worked perfectly. Much more convenient than having to open the oven and check temp. Assuming it's as durable now as the older ones, recommended.

Great price, works wellSharonI first bought one of these almost 15 years ago and still have it and use it regularly. They are so inexpensive and the battery lasts quite a long time. I only wish I could get replacement probes from Ikea. I lost one probe when using it with meat on the grill and a flare up caused extremely high temps to partially melt it. That one actually still works but only if you hold it just right to keep the wires inside the sheath touching. Another probe was misplaced. Would be nice to be able to get like a 3 pack of replacement probes for $10, having spares can even be useful if you want to probe different meats during a big cook session without having to thoroughly wash between to prevent contamination.
