This handmade wool rug has a striped watercolor-inspired pattern designed by Emma Prowse. The loop pile edge adds interesting detail. An easy upgrade to your living or bedroom space.

The rug is made of wool so it’s naturally soil-repellent and very durable.

The thick wool is naturally sound-dampening. Perfect in spaces with a lot of activity.

The earthy tones add a touch of elegance and luxury to any room.

  • You will need 1 STOPP FILT rug underlay with anti-slip (5'5"x7'9") for this rug. Trim if necessary.

    This rug fits with a 2-3 seat sofa, but can also fit other size sofas depending on how you place it.

  • Material

    Care

    Airing and vacuuming will help to eliminate the smell that the rug can have when it is new.

    Do not wash.

    Do not bleach.

    Do not tumble dry.

    Do not iron.

    Do not dry clean.

    Vacuum, shake and rotate the rug regularly.

    Remove dried spots immediately by scraping carefully towards the middle of the spot.

    Do not rub wet spots. Absorb moisture with paper towels, and clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent.

    Professional carpet cleaning when needed.

    Always use the standard floorhead, never the rotating brush, when vaccuming the rug.

  • Use STOPP FILT anti-slip rug underlay under the entire rug for increased safety.This product has been tested for domestic use.

What is wool?

Wool is a practical natural material that usually comes from sheep. The raw wool is washed and then spun into yarn. Wool rugs have many advantages. They're soft, warm and comfortable to walk on, and they're also very hardwearing. They're stain-resistant too, because wool has it own natural oil. This means that dirt stays on the surface and doesn't penetrate into the rug. All wool rugs shed - some more, some less - vacuum them regularly to prevent the loose fibers from scattering.

“When designing products for the IKEA spring collection, I used the fluid and spontaneous characteristics of watercolors to create the patterns on VINTERIBERIS and LÖNNHÖSTMAL duvet covers, POLARTÅG and SÄCKSPINNARE cushion covers and SÄCKMAL curtain. Together with ELLJUSSPÅR rug, it is the contrast of light, fresh colors and dramatically darker tones that adds rawness to the designs. I hope this blend of edgy and pretty will be cherished and long-lasting in people’s homes."
