Cute idea, terrible designAnonymous reviewerI thought I was getting a steal with this cute little soap dispenser, but then I realized that whoever designed it never actually used it to wash their hands. Water gets all over the bamboo and it started rotting and getting moldy immediately. The soap dispenser just needs to come up a little further or they need another material to protect the bamboo. I threw it away after a month of use.1

Horrible Engineering. Unable to use.Pamelathis soap dispenser is a disaster. There is NO fixing it. The spout shoots the soap straight across the room and all over the clothing of anyone standing in the way. It has so much force that it squarted all over my stomach, chest and face at night. I have tried putting only a tiny amount of soap in it: NOPE. I have gotten pliers and bent the spout several times: The "silver" coating stripped off and the dispensing of liquid soap has not improved. I'm afraid if i bend it anymore that it will snap off. The bamboo cover is lovely. But it is rendered useless since there is no other soap on the market that I can find with the dimensions to fit internally. I have not been able to find alternative screw on tops with soap spout dispenser. I am beyond disappointed and tired of trying to use it because soap goes in all directions instead of the sink or my hand....even when I try to "cover" the spout, it still squirts amuck because of the "force" design of the plumger/pump.1

StylishPakStylish, a little awkward to fill/refill. Bottom is hollow with rubber legs on four corners. There's a plastic bottle inside that's lifted up by the metal top. When screwing on the top, you have to hold the plastic up into the hole on top to screw in the top. Other than that, it's pretty good4

Strong, flexible and one of the world's fastest growing plants – bamboo has many uses that make it an excellent renewable material. It’s a type of grass and usually grows without the need for fertilizers or irrigation. After being harvested, it grows new shoots that are ready for harvesting after 4-6 years. At IKEA, we use bamboo for items like furniture, bathroom decor, baskets and lamps – and we are constantly exploring more areas of use for this versatile material.
