I wouldnt buy it againAshleyI waited so long to buy this plant and when I did it had sooooooooooo many gnats in it. I noticed them at Ikea but I read a review that said it's normal and to take off the top layer and let the soil dry out. I did that and after a month it still had a few gnats. my review for my other plant would be the same except there were far moreeee gnats in it. I took off more than 2 inches of soil and left it in my hallway for over a month. not adding any water. after the period of leaving them in the hallway with no water and I also sprayed peroxide, I thought they would be ready to repot. as I took out the plant the gnats started flying out. I was so disappointed. On the bright side ! the plants held up well. they are alive and prospering but I will go somewhere else to buy my plants next time. I did just buy "All seasons horticulture spray oil" and now the gnats are gone.
Beautiful Plant for Non-Green Thumb PeopleKarenNeeds little attention, just water when dry. Don't keep near the heater though - mine seems to be suffering, unless there's something else I did wrong.

Horrible plantsJoyelleIKEA does not take care of the plants well enough to sell them. I bought the best looking one on the bunch because I really wanted this kind of plant. Once home it just continued to decline and died very quickly even with me babysitting it. Waste of money.
Bugs!EllenMy large drachma plant came home with bugs. Little bugs that live in the dirt. So I had to spend more money to get insecticide to kill them. I just hope they don’t infect my other house plants. If you choose to buy live plants from IKEA, make sure they are healthy.
ExcellentGigiIve bought ikea plants before and they are very hardy. This guy adjusted to his space and is happy.
