Flawed designMicheleWe were excited to get this sugar shaker only to realize that the design is slightly flawed. The extra long straw makes it difficult to dispense sugar as once the sugar level goes below the level of the straw it no longer flows out. You end up shaking it to get the sugar just so in order to dispense from the thing. Perhaps this is what they meant by sugar shaker?

Not as sanitary as I would likeMarshaI like this item, but the fact is that is open to the air, so whatever is in the air is going in to the tube.
Not what I expected.DarneshiaIn a little disappointed by this product. Once the sugar level gets low it becomes increasing harder to get the last of it out. Perhaps a spout would be better, or maybe if the opening was set to one side to catch the last as you tilt. Also, some sort of protective cap to cover the top when not in use.
