Love My Little CactiJanetThis is the 3rd set of 3 Cacti that I have bought at Ikea (and the most expensive). I think they are great houseplants, and I've managed to keep all 9 of them alive so far. As soon as I get them home, I transplant them into bigger pots, giving them room to grow. My biggest one has grown to over a foot tall now. These are the easiest plants to keep alive, as they need little water and care. They stay outside all summer, and I move them indoors for the winter.5

Check the Shelf TagSaraPlants are five stars. I took off a star for the price difference (see below). I have purchased (at different times) two different sets of these cacti, and they always look healthy and ready to transplant (only because I like to see how big they will grow). The last time I picked up a three-pack of these, the shelf tag read $9.99 and they rang up $12.99. I failed to notice the difference until I was home and wasn't interested in trekking back to the store to argue a refund. Bottom line: these are cute, healthy cacti, and worth the money.4

A prickly survivor

The cactus is a real survivor used to tough and dry conditions. In nature, the spines protect the cactus against animals, but they also provide shade and gather dew that drips down into the soil where the roots absorb the water. Don’t be fooled by the prickly exterior – just like other plants, the cactus can boost your well-being and make your home feel more vibrant. And the best part is that it can survive on its own when you go on vacation!

Material

What is glass?

Glass is mainly made of sand, soda, and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.
