Flaky shoe rack JosephHard to assemble because the particle boards are flakey. Had to return one because screw hole broke. After assembly it looks good. Functional and useful shoe rack.3
This works really well for my familyTomit was easy to put together, im a mid 50s woman and I had no problems assembling it, the hardest part was getting the box into the car (it was heavy). We are a family of three and each have our own "drawer" you can easily put 4 pairs of shoes in each drawer. It is vitally important to screw this into the wall so it doesn't topple over, it is considerable unsteady without screwing it in.5
i love itMariagreat i love it, my kids like it too 5
PerfectLatashaThis is exactly what my entry way needed! Now I can quickly pick up all the kids shoes and they disappear in a beautiful cabinet. My only complaint is it is so darn difficult to find a basket to fit in the open shelf on the top because it’s so short. But ikea solved that problem as well. We just paired it with one of the storage bins!5
Pretty but fragile HeatherI bought this hoping to corral the shoes by the front door. It’s pretty and fits the spot perfectly. Looks built in even. But it fell apart the first day. The hardware and particle board sides don’t hold up at all. The screws that hold the drawers in are too short. I can’t even put better hardware on it because the particle board siding, it just falls apart. Very disappointed.2
Amazing piece! MonicaI looked around Amazon Walmart for this cabinet but I knew that IKEA had them! I am one hour away decided to make the trip take a chance ! I initially had another one in mind but with the price on this one , color and how pretty sturdy and heavy is a win!! I love it ! And have gotten so many compliments! I believe IKEA is doing amazing with their products now more than ever! 5
good storageMattAssembly was easy but took time. Great for kids shoes and low profile shoes. might be a challenge or tight fit for taller shoes or boots. Mine did not come with wall mounting hardware but I already had screws to use for that.4
Great shoe storage for small spaceDavidReally nice shoe storage for a small space. Much nicer than a normal shoe rack or shoe hanger that goes behind the door. Looks like a nice piece of furniture in your room. The quality was very nice. The wood was thick and sturdy. Easy enough to put together - clear directions and minimal tools required. Hold plenty of shoes. My daughters have about 24 pairs inside, may vary with adult shoes compared to little kids. I did have to slightly modify my unit. The back is designed to sit just on top of your baseboard but my baseboards are a little taller so in order for the unit to sit flush against the wall, I had to notch out an inch or so from the back to get it to fit perfectly. 5
Overall Very Disappointed RonaldDescription tells you up to 15 shoes? I can only get 2 per drawer. My shoe size is 10.5-11 and drawers will not close unless tilted. Ease of assembly? Well 108 hardware pieces none separated should tell you enough. Plus 27 assembly steps that are not easy to figure out? Very wobbly when finally completed! Hard to find help inside and unhelpful when you find someone. Get it yourself attitude.1
Good shoe storage MirandaIt’s honestly perfect and it was pretty easy to build, it does NOT come with the wall installation hardware though which was pretty inconvenient since it 100% needs it to stay up but I just drilled a few long nails into it and it’s been holding up. Make sure you buy that though! 5
Poorly designed, cheaply madeArdaMost of our apartment is furnished by ikea; we used to love the value but this product is so poorly designed and cheaply made; got me realize ikea designs and quality have gone down drastically past 4-5 years or so. First of all it won’t fit any shoes more than size 10 at all. It also wont fit any ankled shoes ( converse, docs, boots); even in smaller women's sizes; lastly its not wide enough for 3 pairs of adult shoes each row (even women’s size 7) but too wide for 2 pairs of shoes with wasted width. Everything about dimension and design is off. Build quality is also so cheap, feels like its made for a movie set, not real life use. Ikea products were never the highest quality products, but they were still good quality and great value for the price, not anymore. Will be returning tomorrow morning. 1
Really love thisVickyI highly recommend this I don’t know why everyone doesn’t get it5
Cute shoe cabinet with flimsy partsWendyI LOVE the look of this shoe cabinet. It’s a perfect match for the Brusali cabinets I bought a decade ago. But this shoe cabinet has flimsy parts. The drive cam bolts are plastic and break when you turn them. The tilt-out drawers are difficult to put into the cabinet, and the bolts to connect it to the cabinet are short, so I’m not sure how long they’ll last.3
Magnific MadeleineI love it, it saves space and it fits many pairs of shoes and the magnificent5
Hate shoes everywhere KarieLove this cabinet! It keeps things nicely organized and looks good too 👍🏻5
Nice looking storage. KerryVery happy this product came in white. And the design allows for space saving with the molding cut out at the bottom and no top overhang so I could line up 2 side by side. 5
My 11 size shoes doesn’t fit in it.MdCan’t fit much shoes in it. My shoe size is 11 and my shoes doesn’t fit in it always gets stuck. I have to push hard to close.1
Great shoe cabinet, but...ChelseaThis shoe cabinet fits our small space so well and has made a huge difference in organizing our shoes. However, during construction the screws were too long and caused a couple bulges in the front of the cabinet. Not super noticeable, but disappointing. Be careful during assembly4
Worth the money but we are missing partsEnaWe are missing screws to attach it to the wall3
functional shoe storageJimThis works great for shoes under size 12. Large shoe size is not workable. Works great in winter for hat & gloves.5

Our take on wood

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA, we believe that sourced in responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

Forests are critical for life on earth

Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.

100% wood from more sustainable sources

At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030

As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.

We accomplish more by working together

For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.

Material

What is particleboard?

Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill leftovers – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a resource instead of possibly being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look.

Designer thoughts

Designer thoughts

With the BRUSALI series we wanted to design classic furniture for the bedroom that has character – and is both highly functional and a good value for the money. We worked closely with the manufacturer and used techniques and materials in the best and most cost-effective way. We’re especially pleased with the soft curved profiles on the edges and the long, uninterrupted lines in the high legs. BRUSALI brings a personal character to your bedroom, whether you use several pieces as a set or combine just one piece with the furniture you already have.
