DisappointedKaliI previously had the GULLABERG shoe cabinet in dark brown, and I was very happy with it. It was sturdy, well made, and held all of our shoes. IKEA still carries the GULLABERG, but unfortunately, it is no longer available in dark brown, so I bought this cabinet instead.
This one just doesn’t compare. The composite wood doesn’t feel as solid as the material used in the GULLABERG. I was also disappointed to discover that men’s shoes larger than about a size 10 don’t fit. We have men in our household who wear size 12 shoes, so this cabinet doesn’t work well for us. I wish the product description had made the size limitation clearer.
The drawers also don’t glide smoothly and tend to catch when we open or close them. I really wish IKEA would bring back the dark brown GULLABERG because it was much better made and more practical.
Entryway saverMirandaOur family bought this to eliminate the clutter of shoes in our entryway. The cabinet is attractive and holds 3 family members shoes. The box is very heavy and long so we had this delivered to our house. The assembly time took about 1-2 hours. The instructions are clear. However, there are many screws. There are slight alignment differences with each shoe row, but it still opens very smoothly.
Missing screws and unbalancedOwenPut it together quite easily and liked the clicking of the shelves. Liked the simple, nice, white clean color. Holds five pairs of sneakers per shelf. The top little shelf can hold slippers or my shoe related stuff.
However, it has its drawbacks:
1. The bottom two plastic shoes only come at the front, so that, if you don't nail the shelf to the wall, it won't stay flat. Had to just take them off.
2. It was missing four of the fat screws that hold the shelves to the side walls of the shelf. Ordered replacement screws and IKEA sent two plastic pieces totally unrelated to the shelf! Not cool. So now I have two shelves I can't screw on and have to wait another two weeks for screws. The box of screws that you can buy at IKEA are longer and thinner than the ones required, too. Ugh.
3. There's no back to the shelf so anything that scraps up against the back will eventually dirty or nick it.
4. The top open shelf could be a tad taller.
Shoe CabinetRandallGreat cabinet makes shoe storage easy only problem my shoes are size 11 so I had to stack so they would fit perfectly had to leave bigger shoes out and sandals and Hey Dudes and dress shoes fit great made for very neat storage. If possible if made cabinet just a few inches wider to accommodate larger shoes but cabinet quality is very good. My wife is a size 7 and fits hers perfectly.
Beautiful but too smallMulingI loved the shoe cabinet's look, but it doesn't fit any of our men's shoes (UK size 9 and above). It squeezes the leather and might damage the shoes.
How to keep it from falling over?RobinI wish I had read the reviews. It looks nice but not really made for holding ankle boots or mens shoes at all. Plus it wants to tip over when you open the doors. I wish I could return it. I tossed the box plus it is already assembled. Ikea please HELP! I do not want anyone or any pets injured if it falls over??????

Didn't last very long with regular useMaheshThe cabinet looks good, but it started to come apart after 6 months of use.
On my cabinet, the hardware to hold the middle shelf came apart and no longer fits well. IKEA doesn't accept responsibility for quality and refused to accept return citing the return policy that states one year return policy only applies to unopened/unused items.
Probably not meant for adult bootsCanishaIts not really big enough for adult boots. Particularly winter boots. You would have to put them in sideways and that cuts down on how many pairs of shoes you can house in this cabinet. Other than that, it's fine. You have to purchase your own wall tethering equipment so it doesn't tip over.
Too shallow for mens 10+ sizeSiddharthNice finish, sleek design, handy top shelf. But but but could only fit my wife shoes. Any mens shoes size 10+ did not fit and had to be kept sideways which means you can only fit half or third of shoes than what it is intended. Very disappointing
GreatWendyI have a total of 20 pairs of shoes. Inside one cabinet i was able to fit 10 pairs of kids shoes. The other two cabinets hold 10 pairs of woman heels, sandals and sneakers. Very sturdy, ease to assemble.

Only for small feetRaymondBoughtt 4 and regret it. I wear size 12 and my shoes dont fit. Wife is size 9 in womens and most of her shoes fit. I can get my shoes in wonky and a cabinet can hold at most 6 pairs, not the 15 advertized. Would recommend only for sz 9 or smaller feet. Also the 2nd one i assembled had a crack down one of the anchor points, and scratches on one of the sides. These dont come with anchors and cannot be used without one. Dark brown looks nice but shows scratches easily.

Great shoe cabinetAndrea`It's very good quality, it takes a little time to assemble but it looks great and holds a lot of items neatly, more than I expected. My size is 7 US. Just keep in mind that you have to hang it on the wall and those accessories aren't included.
Mounts to the wallMonicaThis shoe cabinet needs to be mounted to the wall and I didn’t know what when I bought it. Additionally, it doesn’t come with any screws to do the mounting even though it doesn’t function without mounting it. Another big downside is the my husband’s shoes don’t really fit in it. He wears a 10 1/2.
Save your moneyMakiIt’s nice looking, but that’s all there is to it. It only comes with two legs on the bottom, which is an odd design to me. It’s also not meant for large shoes. My husband’s 10.5 shoes won’t properly fit inside, but my size 8 shoes fits just fine.
