1) The skimpy retention disc on the end could be easily 2x larger diameter to better retain the roll.

2) IKEA says product has “no visible screws, as the hardware is concealed.” Well, kind of. Except for the set screw visible right on top of the base if mounted left or on right back wall. Nothing lets you re-orient the base components to have the set screw on the bottom. Unlike other bath hardware. And that silver set screw is quite visible vs the charcoal base.

3) There's further irony when they brag no visible screws. They can say that again… no mounting hardware at all is provided because, they posit, every situation is unique. What a cop out. At least put in token screws and stop being so cheap and leaving me to twist in the wind.

Ikea prides in great design, but these basic oversights I noticed in mere seconds not hours. Sigh.
Poor DesignCharlesIMO- The end disc isn't large enough to help hold TP roll on holder. Small bump will cause roll to fall to the floor. A simple design feature needs to be incorporated so that a larger disc is installed to hold roll in place.

Harmony in the bathroom, one detail at a time
The bathroom is a vital part of the home, but it is often small, cluttered and improvised. Okan Demirci, one of our product developers, knows this first-hand. So when starting working on VOXNAN and BROGRUND bathroom accessories, his aim was to help make bathroom life a little easier. The difficult part was to find common needs among different people. That’s where Okan’s many colleagues came in handy.
Several of them were invited to a workshop. They all had different homes and life situations. Some were Swedes who lived in houses in the woods. Others were from Italy and France. Some lived alone, and others with a partner or children.
Working together to find common bathroom needs
Designing little details that make life better
Two designers worked together to solve the challenges identified in the workshop. Take the clutter from lack of space to hang things. Our towel holders already save space with swiveling bars, but they added bars that extend for more tidiness. And what about shared bathrooms? VOXNAN and BROGRUND have styles you can mix and match so everyone’s happy. The accessories have identical wall brackets, too, so if your style or needs change, you can easily swap things without making new holes. ”It’s not a revolution,” Okan says. “It’s just the little details that can help people turn their bathroom chaos into harmony.”

What is stainless steel?
Stainless steel is found in everything from building structures and cars to sinks and knives. It’s easy to see why it has so many uses. Stainless steel is hard and durable and has good resistance to corrosion – namely rust. It generally has a low nickel content, and for IKEA products we mainly use stainless steel that’s nickel-free. Like many other metals, it can be recycled again and again to become new, hardwearing items – without losing its valuable properties.

When we started working on VOXNAN and BROGRUND bathroom accessories, our team did something a bit different and held a workshop. Together, they came up with the theme of a bathroom being 'chaos and harmony' and used it to create products that make bathroom life a bit easier for everyone.
