Poor quality controlMatthewI understand that these aren't supposed to be as high quality as the sektion cabinets that I filled my kitchen with but the quality control sucks. I have one with visually burned and uneven cuts and neither of the two units match each other. I bought them to sit side by side and the drawers and edges don't exactly line up. The kick plate is uneven left to right on both in exactly the same (designed) way. All the bs in the instructions about making sure to secure them to the wall and they aren't even able to be tilted forward enough to tip over in normal operation because of the horrible slides that don't pull out far enough or soft close. I'd consider returning them except for how far away the closest IKEA is and I'd still be out $50 shipping.
Changes to BrimnesCherylI’ve purchased many of the Brimnes dressers, 4 drawers and 3 drawers, and the side rail length was shortened so the drawer does not open as far. It’s much harder to put items in the drawers and the liners I purchased for the drawers can’t be placed in them unless you remove the drawer to place the liner and then put the drawer back in the dresser.
Poor quality and drawers open just 40%AlexandreI’ve buying this drawers at Ikea for at least 25 years since I bought the general stuff from ikea in Europe so I moved to the US and after 12 years here I still believe at Ikea quality but last year I bought 2 of this drawers and I don’t know how it just open like 40% of the total drawer and after check online they say that is not a defect but it’s a safety way to protect kids of open drawers and hike it like mountain so with all 3 drawers opened and load plus the kid weight could hurt this kid and to avoid sue they just found this solution, but I’m 50 and ain’t got no freaking kids and not even want ‘em so this drawers for me is useless and I don’t recommend buy it avoid to buy it and get something else better
Drawers open only halfwayMiguelI got this for the design. I spent hours assembling this thing only to find out that the drawers don’t open all the way. I understand that kids have gotten hurt by climbing on dressers in the past but isn’t that what the wall mounts are for? I can’t even see what’s in my own drawer because of this safety feature. I want a refund

New Brimnes changes are disappointing ChristinaBuyer beware: ikea has changed the shade of grey for the brimnes dressers. If you’re trying to match previously purchased brimnes grey dressers the new shade will not match. Additionally, ikea decided to make the drawers about 1/3 smaller than the previous model. After putting it together and having it side-by-side you will realize the drawers are narrow and do not give you much room to reach in and out of them. Overall disappointed as I was hoping it would be an exact replica and didn’t realize they made so many changes.
Incredibly irritated by drawer slide length LisaLike others, I immediately noticed the drawers barely open on this new version. I'm incredibly irritated that this has been implemented for everyone's furniture whether they have kids or not (we don't), especially when there's already an optional wall attachment that prevents the furniture from tipping. I'm literally ordering 3rd party drawer slides now, in a USABLE length, and will upgrade these stupid slides that came with the furniture so I can put something larger than socks in this bureau.
This is a very poor decision on your part, IKEA.
Great product very sturdy and spaciousTzvetan ErnandoI am overall very satisfied with this purchase. The drawers were more spacious than I thought. It is fairly easy to assemble. I ordered two and put them togethers. It took maybe two hour and half for me to put both together. Definitely good product for the price.

Do not buy - drawers don’t open. SylviaDrawers on this chest open less than 7 inch on 18 inch deep cabinet. That is less than half. It makes whole point of having drawer and being able to open it moot. We had 2 old ones - same name - and we purchased 2 new ones. They are useless. Do not buy.

Wacky drawers ErikaThe dresser was easy to put together, in an expected IKEA build. It didn’t include the basic tools, small tool that is specific to these types of builds. We were able to make do with previous Allen wrenches and mini screwdrivers. Overall it’s a nice solid dresser. We did return it because the drawers don’t open fully. This is a safety measure IKEA has installed on many of their items. While this is a smart concept and I’m sure saves lives with tiny toddlers who like to climb dressers, it was a breaking point for us. We needed to be able to open the drawers all the way to accommodate sweat shirts and jeans being placed in the drawers. It was impossible to add an adult sweater in the half open drawer. So we returned the completely built dresser.
Buyers beware!!KristalI had previously purchased 4 of these drawers. 1 was damaged so I exchanged it. First 3 are great! Exceeded all expectations! Life got busy so I put off assembling the last one. When I finally got around to it, I realized that unbeknownst to me they changed the item and they shortened the drawer rails DRASTICALLY. The drawers barely pull out. Getting things in and out are a major pain. Now I have 3 great drawers and 1 non-functional one and I am over the 180 days. Now I wish I had just kept the defective one (the glass had a large scratch) because at least it would have served its purpose. DO NOT RECOMMEND, unless they bring back the old version. Very disappointed.
New version no good.KimberlyWe have two of the 'old' version of this dresser and they're great. We liked them so much that we purchased another set. The 'new' version has significantly smaller drawer slide hardware which results in the drawer only opening about halfway. It's barely usable because it's so hard to even put things in there. Extremely disappointed and feel like i wasted my money.

Drawers don’t open fullyValerieThis is the second one of these dressers I purchase my first one opens the drawers twice as much. This one barely even open up to half of the dresser. Can’t even stuff my jeans in her properly. Don’t know why that was switched to the shorter rails but it sucks
