Together with a spirit level, use the holes at the ends of the mounting rail for the final vertical adjustments to ensure that the mounting rail is positioned straight on the wall.
The mounting rail is only a help during mounting, it should not be loaded with any weight.
The mounting rail can be cut to an exact width if needed. Only applicable when using more than one mounting rail or for the adjustable clothes rail and shelf.
Be aware that different wall materials are able to support different loads of weight. For instance, walls made of drywall cannot support as much weight as walls made of wood, concrete, or brick.
Different wall materials require different types of fasteners. Use fasteners suitable for the walls in your home.
If you are uncertain about what type of mounting devices to use, please contact your local hardware store.

How odd then that there are no instructions anywhere on how to install the mounting rail (not to mention no hardware). Even the IKEA chat person was unable to find me any installation instructions and told me to search YouTube!
Beware- No screws/hardware!CarrenIt's a great product, but just know you'd have to get your own screws or hardware to go along with it. Wish the product description said that more apparently.
Buyer BEWARE! Hardware NOT included! GinaThe salespeople and the online store need to clearly indicate that the installation hardware isn’t included. When I called customer service, they pretended they would ship the missing screws to me. Of course they never arrived. I found out that the screws and anchors aren’t included by reading customer reviews. Do better Ikea!
Looks nice but installation instructions are not clearErinThe finished product is great with the oak shelves. However, the instructions included don’t tell you everything which is very unlike IKEA. The BOAXEL system does not come with screws and instructions don’t mention needing specifically wall anchors. After some research online and trial and error, we ended up getting drywall anchor screws from Home Depot (screw size #6) and it feels a lot more sturdy. Just wish that was mentioned in the instructions or provided with the purchase, which would have saved us a ton of time.

OK When Up, But Hard To InstallMichaelI recently installed this system in 2 closets. They both turned out well, but I am amazed other people don’t have more problems. I have installed hundreds of closet systems over the years and I am very familiar with how to do it correctly.
First, I used the configuration tool to build my parts list and neither system came with any screws or wall anchors. Fortunately I have plenty of both.
Second, because it is a metric system, it doesn’t quite work with US 16” centered studs. I had to drill extra holes in the hang rail and then only 1 or maybe 2 uprights can actually hit a stud.
Third, the way shelves and accessories clip to brackets is clever, but requires the uprights to be very accurately spaced with hardly any tolerance if an upright is slightly off.
Wrong length of rail...BrigitteI bought an 8' wide Boaxel closet system and they sent me a 6' wide suspension rail. The rest was fine but somebody needs to work on their math...

Boaxel Walk In ClosetJillNow that the boaxel walk-in closet is installed, there are a few things that you should know before purchasing:
1. If you were purchasing a unit that is more custom (above 24 inches wide), you will have to cut the suspension rail. If you choose to cut the suspension rail with a saw, it is going to take a substantial amount of time. We used large metal clippers.
2. In order to safely to secure the Boaxel set to the wall. You’ll need to drill small holes through the suspension rod where your studs are in the wall. We did this with a drill. We then drilled through the hole that we pre-drilled directly into the stud. If you have a lot of clothes, I don’t see how this would work mounted only to drywall.
3. Make sure that you have flat screws otherwise it will not properly hook into the rails.
4. The walk-in closet unit is worth every penny! And it’s absolutely beautiful when assembled.

Caution, Needs Careful InstallationYI installed Boaxel in a closet. Yesterday, one entire wall of shelving collapsed suddenly. It seems that the top notch of one of the verticals, over time, moved forward slightly, so that it came out of the groove in the top bar. This meant that all of the weight of the shelves was on the screws of the vertical bars, not the top bar. IKEA needs to re-design this so that the safety of their customers is not dependent on a 2 cm groove. The verticals should somehow be locked in place to the horizontal, weight-bearing bar. Other than that, great product :-)
Doesn’t include hardwareNathanRequired multiple trips to hardware store, I eventually gave up and threw out the product. It doesn’t include mounting hardware, and the instructions do not specify the correct size of hardware that is required. Don’t waste your time.
Nice system even if a bit expensiveAnonymous reviewerThankfully these are easy enough to saw although I do wish they came in different lengths. This is a good shelving system. I don't understand the complaints from some that this doesn't come with screws. IKEA never includes screws for attaching things to walls since it depends on the composition of the walls. I have a couple of other closets that need shelving, and I absolutely plan on using the Boaxel system again.
didn't see that not comingSusanjust amazed and very inconvenienced that no screws were provided-and no upfront info. to let the customer know. why does the pictorial not show screws along with screwdriver, level etc., as items needed to complete installation?
Don't buy unless you're handy with hardwareJenniferI had no idea when purchasing this that I would be on my own to find hardware to attach the system to the wall. The fact that hardware is NOT included should be clearly stated in bold with every wall upright and suspension rail item description WITHOUT having to click on a drop down box. Instead, you have to hope you infer it from the reference that different walls may need different hardware. I'm used to IKEA products having everything I need. I will not make that assumption again.
