    Skip this oneMaryThis is the most disappointing IKEA unit I have ever purchased. It is rickety and difficult to attach to the wall. It put a dent in the floor when pieces fell off during assembly.1
    Poorly made flimsy material that cant support the weightAndrewA complete waste of money. You have 2 options on installing this system in a standard home with 16" on center studs. Drill new holes in the support bracket or hang 3/4 inch ply on the wall to support the weight. This is not designed for drywall installation over studs in any way shape or form and IKEA should annotate that in the product description. The load bearing rail at the top is weak thin metal that bends under load unless you can screw it every 16 inches. This requires drilling new holes as the factor holes are not based on 16" studs. As a professional installer I don't even bother wasting money on this product. The amount of modification needed is absurd to make this system safe and functional. Be warned Unless you are going to remove your drywall, install a blocking framing or install 3/4" Plywood over your studs avoid this product at all cost.1
    Total nightmare to installStellaI’ve assembled my fair share of ikea products and this was next level frustrating. It’s extremely tricky to get things seated in the right position and once in, they are incredibly fragile and fall off easily. I bought this for my 5-year-old’s closet and I’m scared the shelves will fall on him. I wish I never purchased and wasted hours of my life I’ll never get back trying to install this. Do not recommend.1
    Small space storage solutionAnonymous reviewerI bought this a couple of weeks ago and so far it is performing as I need it too. We do not have much storage in our small kitchen, and the Boatel unit is easy enough to put up, and the shelves are large enough to hold 15 long baskets for food and other supplies. It looks very utilitarian on its own, but once you add baskets and other items the shelves sort of melt into the background, which is what I wanted. Assembly was a little tricky at first, especially because you have to purchase your own screws. I recommend taking one of the rails to Home Depot to figure out what size you need - the instructions are not very helpful on this point, as they measure the width of the screw head, and do not give a size to go by.4
