Perfect Laundry Storagenlm9uhI bought this last week and am so pleased with the system. I wanted to install this in my laundry closet, which has a half brick/half stud framed wall on the back. I installed 1x3 boards across the wall (spaced roughly 10 apart OC) to make the system installation easier, as I didn't want to try to anchor into the brick through the uprights. As other reviewers state, these brackets fit very tightly into the uprights, but that was not an issue to me. A mallet or softly wrapped hammer is all you need to tap them in/out (one or two heavy taps near the upright is all you need), and they feel extremely secure once in place.5
Difficult to install as others said - use a hammerlindsay_pdxJust got these today - there is absolutely no way to click these into place as instructed. You need a hammer or a mallet to get them into place.2
Compatible with Algot?MerryEWill this fit on my algot rail? I’d hate to have to replace my entire closet system when I just need to add a few more shelves.1
XJ 1Brackets have inconsistent quality. Some are very tight and very difficult to install. We had to hammer them into the vertical rail1
Why would you make them so tight?Jmoon1285These brackets stink (or maybe it’s the rails). They took so much effort to click into the rails I almost gave up in frustration. Make sure you have a mallet to tap them into place, they are very, very tight. If you’re like me and don’t have a mallet, wrap a sock around your hammer a few times and secure it with a hair tie or rubber band. Not ideal if you want to play around with different shelving heights before you commit as it seems like hammering them in and out once they’ve been inserted would put undue stress on the rails. Also there is an ikea Boaxel label painted/printed on the side that is pretty visible and annoying.2
