Missing scoopBarbaraI bought one of these canisters several years ago & love it. I just bought a new one, but it doesn't come with the scoop anymore, even though the lid still has the slot for the scoop. I would have even bought it separately, but IKEA doesn't seem to carry it any more. Very disappointing.
NOT airtight, hard to openEdwardFilled with some water, which immediately leaked out the bottom. Shipped with ZERO packing material I'm the box, so they arrived slightly dented.
Not suitable for foodTheaDescription states item is suitable for coffee and dry foods. These are attractive containers BUT they are not suitable for food. The are not airtight whatsoever. The tin is also on the thinner side and not exactly durable. They also scratch easily. The smaller 4x4 container lid is hard to pull off because the lip of the lid isn't really accessible. It's recessed inside the canister. The lid on the larger canister is easier to pulloff. It's not recessed. I assumed the lids would be the same for both canisters. I was excited to receive these because they do look nice but highly disappointed that they do not stand up to their product description for use. And they are prone to damage. I intended to use for coffee, tea, and sugar but will not be able to use them in this way.

Great multi-purpose, multi-use item that looks greatWayneI bought a few of these for various purposes, to store tea bags, sewing equipment, etc. and they work great for that purpose. Due to a power outage I found another use for these. These are the perfect size to place 4-5 tea candles in the bottom and use as a small personal heater. That is not their intended use of course, but they radiate quite a bit of heat and would be great to make a small emergency vehicle heater kit. I am still coming up with ideas for these canisters and at the price they are, they are a steal

the lid stays tight if you push it down and it clicks, and it's nice that this is not plastic.

Beware, not airtightMarthaI don't recommend these containers for anything that needs to stay fresh like coffee or tea, since the lid was quite loose on mine. This design could really benefit from a rubber or silicone gasket around the lid.

Great for storing kitchen utensilsAnonymous reviewerI don't drink coffee or tea so I use this as a really handsome canister to hold my nonstick cooking utensils next to my stove. It adds a little class to my kitchen and looks great. A few vase marbles on the bottom helps "anchor" it to the countertop.
