Hard to put togetherNoahOther pendant lights from ikea have a lot more flexibility to hide the unused cord in the top. This one has a hook that is needed to secure the top piece which also serves to secure the bottom plug which makes things a lot harder. The lamp shade piece top/bottom is surprisingly hard to fit together once hung, and fell apart as i was hanging it. Still, it looks pretty nice.3
Great Minimalist and Flexible DesignJoeTwo Blasverk pendants replaced the crystal chandeliers in my kitchen—definitely prefer the minimalist vibe of this light. The design is flexible enough to make some changes: due to my low ceilings, I cut the metal cord rods down to 2 inches and made these lights closer to semi-flush mounts. Also, tucking a circular piece of paper inside the bottom hole eliminates the glare of the exposed bulb. 5

"The idea with BLÅSVERK was to create lamps with an exciting design, and a low price. To succeed, the interaction between form and function needed to make it possible to pack, transport and assemble the lamps efficiently and smoothly. That’s why I chose to divide the plastic shade into two halves – one colored and one white – and combine them with a matching aluminum tube. Assembling the parts creates a timeless lamp with soft shapes that give you a pleasant light."
