More capable than I expectedStevenWorked perfectly in my Apple Home without any issues. I was just expecting a simple on/off switch, which was all that I needed. Each button can have 3 actions assigned in Apple Home. Short press, long press, double press. I’m satisfied.5
Just OkayJoshCan be slower to act on commands than the older non-matter switches.
There is a design/UI issue on their app where it shows as if you can set different actions for long pressing the top and bottom buttons, but in reality it makes you set one action for long press that applies to both buttons :{3
Can't get the remote paired up to the lamp!!SusanI even took the remote back to IKEA and had a staff member try to link up the remote to the lamp to see if it worked...it worked in the store but I repeated the same steps at home and it STILL doesn't work or pair up to dim! Very disappointed!1
Worked once and never againKI got this set up the day I bought it. I used my Amazon Echo as a hub and then it stopped working. I’ve replaced the batteries, removed it from the Alexa app and rewarded. All to no avail. I was excited for this inexpensive smart button but it’s disappointing that it stopped working after one day.1
Hard to keep connected.BryanThese work, and are recognized by Home Assistant without issue - but they can be hard to work with. I have one currently on my system, if I do not use it for a few days it requires a ping, battery pull, or just general messing with in order to be recognized again. I'm not sure what's going on or why this happens - would the official hub work better here?3
Great! Google Home now supports it.BogdanI use it every day through Google Home.5
Works great with Google HomeJamesConnected in seconds to Google Home, setup automations and so far these switches have been working perfectly with any device connected through Google Home.5
Works great for a day!MelissaThis device does connect to a 4th generation Amazon Echo as described using Matter; however, that connection lasts about a day. At that point, you have to hard reset the device, remove it from the Alexa app, and re-setup the device from scratch. Not very convenient to have to spend 5 minutes every day repairing it to use this device. The best part is, even though this was shipped to me, I have to drive 2 hours to the nearest store to return it. Not great customer service, Ikea.1
Working greatJustinSuper easy to setup with Apple HomeKit, was worried I might have issues using since I was connecting it with non IKEA smart home products but I have had no issues thanks to it being a Matter device. Highly recommended especially for the price.5
Love theseKennThese are higher quality compared to the old line. We will see how long they last, but I have loved using them so far.5
Great Matter deviceThomasWorks great with my Home Assistant.5
Bilresa is excellentJerryTough to initially commission but with recent firmware update to Dirigera Hub the switch is solid and reliable. Really like that it dims and brightens light in addition to dimple on/off.5
Connection and Restart issuesNathanielProduct works great, when it works. love the form factor, AAA cells, number of options in homekit (6 scenes!). Product fails to deliver long term though - 2 issues. 1) when batteries are removed and reinserted, the product fails to connect to my system again. 2) The product intermittently fails to operate properly, with button presses not registered by homekit, with the issue later spontaneously resolving. Sad that these issues are present, it’s otherwise a great product. Hopefully a firmware update will fix.2
Home AssistantKellySimple and functional. I use it with Home Assistant (and Connect ZBT-2). There’s a blueprint that makes it easy to use of in all kinds of ways.5
Problem after problemMarcoThese are the single WORST smart product I have ever used. Without question. They do not stay connected at all. My Alexa (Matter over Thread) will recognize and connect to the Bilresa and the it disappears. Pair it again, and it disappears. I bought 7 of these and the same experience on all of them. The door/window sensors are just as bad. Bought four door sensors and every one of them connects and then fails shortly afterwards.1
It’s pretty simple to configure but with the right directionsRamiroDon’t follow the manual coming with the product it is wrong and confusing, you need to click the center button 4 times quickly and the light will dimm and that’s it. You are done.4
Great - when it worksStephenBe prepared to spend several hours trying to set this up. While the IKEA Home Smart app may see it as a device as soon as you add batteries, trying to get this to pair correctly with Matter - including Apple Home - took two days of trying, and it frequently goes "Unreachable". Matter is amazing when it works - this can control *anything* you have added to Apple Home - but do not count on it when you need it most. If IKEA can fix the connections issues, this will be a game changer.
Note: If you're used to the previous generation of smart switches that included a metal "dock" with holes for mounting, this only comes with a very thin metal plate with two double-sided sticky mounts. I was rather disappointed by that downgrade.4
Simple and reliableLaneThis is the best smart button I've ever tested. It connected extremely quickly and directly in the Apple Home app. No Ikea app required. It has stayed connected and worked flawlessly ever since. It works over thread, so no wifi connections needed. I have an Apple Homepod that works as a base station, so no addition base stations needed either. I highly recommend.5
Love!LauraWanted a button for a lamp across the room. Could not ignore the amazing price. It was simple to set up and has worked flawlessly. Recommend.5
Low chance of successRyanSo far only 1 in 3 have connected to matter.1
