Ideal Bookcase for LEGOHeatherI think IKEA and LEGO talk to each other. I was recommended Billy bookcases by a friend who is also a LEGO enthusiast. Pieces cracked and broke easily.LizI’m actually very surprised as I’ve never seen a more cheaply manufactured IKEA product. The pieces cracked and came loose easily, not stable will not be keeping.

Great bookcaseCjI bought these for my basement. I have a lot of books. They brighten an otherwise dark area. They are solid and easily hold hundreds of books. They are incredibly easy to put together. But not easy to lift. 🤪
Buyer Beware: Product ChangedEmilyI loved my previous Billy bookcases and bought another after the new year. They changed the product! The backing board used to be seamless and now has two lines running vertically that are very obvious. Makes the product look cheap. They also changed the finish of the edges to a different texture and it just isn't the same. Kind of threw my project off and had to rethink placement because they do not look good next to the old versions. So sad with this update. I hope they take feedback and at least change back to the seamless backing style.

Good value for money. Not quite as sturdy as the pricier models, but perfectly acceptable. The "black oak" finish is more elegant than the white melamine.
