Flimsy and overpricedBryanThis was delivered today - four out of four shelves were damaged and screw were missing. Once assembled, it's of poor quality and flimsy - one nudge and the front doors become misaligned. Returning immediately.1
So disappointed. Wobbly junk. Anonymous reviewerOrdered the Besta TV stand and loved it! Very sturdy. However, we wanted something bigger. This is not the same sturdy quality. Very wobbly!!! Returning the first purchase was such an ordeal, I do not look forward to going through that again. I’d like to try brackets in each corner to see if it will help with the wobbling, but I’m undecided. I’ll update if I do. 1
Don't waste your moneyAnonymous reviewerIt's been a few years since I have purchased any IKEA products but we have furnished bedrooms and offices with their products over the years. Bought this BESTA cabinet and BESTA bookcases for either side for my child's new apartment. It is absolute junk and if it represents IKEA's quality - it has gone downhill over the last few years. Plastic cam locks and wobbly cabinets were not what I was expecting. It's all put together now and will be bolted together so it doesn't collapse on a bunch of college kids. I'm sure the response from IKEA will be to return it but the time, effort and energy required to do that is just not in the cards. The kids will use it for the year it will last but it will be the last time I purchase anything big from IKEA. Was hoping to replace some laundry cabinets using their system but if this is the quality, I'm out as there is absolutely zero expectation that anything will last. It's been nice knowing you IKEA.1
Wobbly frameOlegThe whole unit when put together wobbles from left to right a small amount, visible with the doors closed as one door ends up being higher than the other slightly, not sure if I'm missing a piece that stabilizes it, but there was nothing in the assembly instructions that I could see that mentions anything about it.4
Worst quality everXavierNot sturdy and leaning frontward as both doors open. That is a first time I have to put weights to stop the cabinet from falling. Also the structure is wobbly and any hinge alignment is ruined by a touch of the top panel with only one finger. Lastly, almost every item from the besta cabinet to the doors were damaged or had cosmetic default and I had to return them all.1
Besta fan for life AmyI’m writing a review a full 10 years after I purchased our Besta double cabinet with the high gloss doors. It has lived in 4 houses, been moved 5 times, including 2 international moves. It’s held board games, been a coffee station, and now holds water bottles. I’ve hacked it by adding legs and handles, lined it with wallpaper, and put a glass top on it (also from Ikea) that has lasted the entire time. It still looks great. It has held up. The doors STILL close softly and evenly. They are still shiny and look like new. There are no nicks or chips. I’m frankly amazed at the longevity of this piece and I consider it a staple in our home that has a place of pride alongside the new fancy stuff we buy. We loved it so much we bought the Besta triple media cabinet with drawers and did the same. Same results- moved in internationally, across the ocean, and it looks great. Super pleased and a fan for life. 5
Wobbly garbageMelissaAfter hiring a professional to put this together it is wobbly and there were parts missing. Had high hopes for this but it seems like the quality of Ikea is going down but the prices are going up. Poor quality1
Not What I Expected/Difficulty/QualityChalermritI recently purchased and customized the Besta Cabinet and it was the most difficult project I have ever had with putting together a furniture. It literally took me 7 hours to complete the job. Every single item/component purchased making up this cabinet has its own instruction. It is almost like putting together jigsaw puzzle with trial and error such as discovering that we have to literally screw in the glass shelves hinges individually BEFORE installing the soft closed cabinet door. The finished product looks great. HOWEVER, the built quality is pretty bad as every 5 to 10 opening/closing of the drawers will unaligned the original position/appearance, making it look "off". This then requires adjustments on the side of the drawers to align it back again. What a nightmare. Also, my car is not big enough to haul this back for a refund and I am not going to spend another 5 hours disassembling to return it.1
Great look - Bad quality - unstableMariaThe look of this cabinet is brilliant but is not as functional as it could be. It cant store anything heavy. The structure is unstable. If you move it around you feel it is going to break. The unit wiggles too much for a pice that size. The doors are hard to level. Always any door not closing properly (I have 2 units and 4 doors). Ikea should redesign this product. This quality is very unusual for an Ikea product. I completely agree with Paul from Australia.2
DO NOT BUYSamanthaI love the look of this cabinet. The doors are SOLID, however the besta frame is COMPLETE GARBAGE! It is so lightweight and flimsy and super cheap feeling. It is what it is, okay.. The problem is once the super heavy/thick doors are installed, the entire cabinet is askew and the doors are not level. The whole cabinet can be easily moved with a fingertip. Forget it if you try to open both doors at the same time, the entire cabinet will flip over. This has got to be the worst piece of Ikea furniture I've owned and I've owned a lot. I thought for the price this thing would be pretty decent, but it might as well be made of cardboard. Sadly after almost an hour assembling, I spent another 30 minutes disassembling and now have to drive over an hour to return after having paid $40 for express delivery. Such a waste of time and money!! Think long and hard before you buy this cabinet. So disappointed!!1
So glad we got thisEricaI was hesitant to purchase this because people said they had a hard time getting the doors to line up, but ours was very easy to assemble and everything lined up well.5

Worth the Wait!LoriI had to stalk the website to grab this cabinet before it sold out again but it was worth it. Looks great in my small entryway with a large, round gold mirror. Very clean lines, no unnecessary hardware to break up the white. Very happy, only improvement would be if I didn’t have to drive 3 hours to pick it up but I will do it gladly.5
PerfectionAnonymousThis fits in the space I needed it for. It looks so pretty in my living room.5
StylishAnonymousAssembly was easy and the storage combination looks great in my home office. I paired this with the single Besta shelf unit to maximize storage. My only issue is with the doors. I had to adjust them several times before getting them to line up and stay closed. Didn't have this issue with the single unit.4
