This combination is made of several separate units. Use BESTÅ top panel, sold separately, to cover the joint between the frames and create a uniform look.

If you choose the soft closing function for your BESTÅ, we recommend complementing the fronts with knobs/handles to make the drawers/cabinets more convenient to open.

Flimsy and CheapTimThis is easily the worst piece of IKEA furniture I have purchased, and is also somehow one of the most expensive I’ve purchased. This set is unbelievably flimsy and cheaply made. They want you to mount it to a wall, and frankly that’s the only way you will get any amount of rigidity out of this set. As someone who has purchased quite a few items from IKEA in the past I am extremely disappointed at how poor of quality this piece is, especially considering the price.2

Nice piece, mostly!AnonymousBought this today. It came in 29 packages and the instructions were all over the place because they weren't unique to this piece. They were for the basic pieces but really didn't show how it all comes together. We figured it out after a lot of effort, but one set of instructions would have helped immensely. When finally put together, the doors didn't line up perfectly, but it's not terrible. Nice for the space and money but a pretty big pain to assemble. For others, it's not one piece or even three pieces. One set has one base cabinet and the other has two together.3

Material

What is constructed board?

We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fiberboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.
