Pretty good value for the price but room for improvementDianaI just spent 4 hrs assembling this and it's not done. I got the White birch veneer doors which look great. Did this solo, with in-house delivery which I recommend for solo people. I built the frame and attached the doors, need to add shelving and the push-open door attachment which I may skip since the hinges are soft-close already. For the price, I think it's a good value. I'm glad it wasn't heavier otherwise it would have been harder for me to assemble alone. Like other reviews, when it's empty and the doors are both opened fully, it does topple forward. However, you're supposed to mount it to the wall with provided attachments, preventing that. I also think that filling it with items would prevent that. The hinges were easy to attach with a drill, however after attaching the doors, the hinges came out the door a bit and won't secure completely again. And even with the hinge adjustment screws, it's been difficult to keep them perfectly aligned. Otherwise looks great!4
Beautiful but at what cost????MarinaI’ve been struggling to find a sideboard for my dining room and this was the only one that I liked and wasn’t significantly more expensive. I live alone and consider myself to be pretty good at assembling furniture, particularly IKEA furniture. This BESTA put all of my skills and patience to the test. Though I was able to fully assemble it on my own, and I am happy with the result, this was the most difficult piece of furniture I tackled, largely because of the doors. The hinges are a mess. I had to completely disassemble them to attach them and attach the doors. The screws for the doors would NOT screw in on their own as pictured, so I had to remove them, screw them in separately to prepare the holes, and then attach the disassembled hinge.
I think my finished product feels quite sturdy, but I’m not sure if I’d assemble something with those hinges ever again.4
So disappointed. Wobbly junk. Anonymous reviewerOrdered the Besta TV stand and loved it! Very sturdy. However, we wanted something bigger. This is not the same sturdy quality. Very wobbly!!! Returning the first purchase was such an ordeal, I do not look forward to going through that again. I’d like to try brackets in each corner to see if it will help with the wobbling, but I’m undecided. I’ll update if I do. 1
Wobbly frameOlegThe whole unit when put together wobbles from left to right a small amount, visible with the doors closed as one door ends up being higher than the other slightly, not sure if I'm missing a piece that stabilizes it, but there was nothing in the assembly instructions that I could see that mentions anything about it.4
Worst quality everXavierNot sturdy and leaning frontward as both doors open. That is a first time I have to put weights to stop the cabinet from falling. Also the structure is wobbly and any hinge alignment is ruined by a touch of the top panel with only one finger. Lastly, almost every item from the besta cabinet to the doors were damaged or had cosmetic default and I had to return them all.1
Wobbly garbageAnonymous reviewerAfter hiring a professional to put this together it is wobbly and there were parts missing. Had high hopes for this but it seems like the quality of Ikea is going down but the prices are going up. Poor quality1
Great look - Bad quality - unstableMariaThe look of this cabinet is brilliant but is not as functional as it could be. It cant store anything heavy. The structure is unstable. If you move it around you feel it is going to break. The unit wiggles too much for a pice that size. The doors are hard to level. Always any door not closing properly (I have 2 units and 4 doors). Ikea should redesign this product. This quality is very unusual for an Ikea product. I completely agree with Paul from Australia.2
So glad we got thisEricaI was hesitant to purchase this because people said they had a hard time getting the doors to line up, but ours was very easy to assemble and everything lined up well.5

Worth the Wait!LoriI had to stalk the website to grab this cabinet before it sold out again but it was worth it. Looks great in my small entryway with a large, round gold mirror. Very clean lines, no unnecessary hardware to break up the white. Very happy, only improvement would be if I didn’t have to drive 3 hours to pick it up but I will do it gladly.5
PerfectionAnonymousThis fits in the space I needed it for. It looks so pretty in my living room.5
StylishAnonymousAssembly was easy and the storage combination looks great in my home office. I paired this with the single Besta shelf unit to maximize storage. My only issue is with the doors. I had to adjust them several times before getting them to line up and stay closed. Didn't have this issue with the single unit.4
