GarbageChris$400 for a cabinet that is more warped than a $100 cabinet off other websites. Does not go together well and takes some massaging. Not worth the money by a long shot. Ikea is far worse than the china junk off most of the other website. The pressed particle board is filled with gaps which means it is not pressed nearly hard enough. Garbage.
Everything we wanted!CraigPacks a lot of storage in a small space, looks great and showcases our decorative items beautifully! It’s very secure anchored to the wall and was easy to assemble. (However if you want light to reach the very bottom shelf we recommend replacing the glass shelf in between the upper and middle sections with a wood shelf so you have a place to secure a second puck light. You can’t see the shelf between sections anyway, so why not?)
Substantial &WOW...Media & Storage CenterAnonymous reviewerI purchased an entire system, TV center, tower wIth cabinet and 2 glass doors, 2 cabinets for across the top. Used the white wavy door pattern and 1 clear door for cable box & electronics. This is a STATEMENT piece, many comments on the beauty of the piece, many surprised that it is an IKEA system. Great value for the money spent and I wouldn't hesitate to do it again!
Awful - DO NOT BUYAimeeWe saw this cabinet in store and changed our mind on the spot from what we originally had planned to buy. Unfortunately, not checking any reviews or ratings before buying. I would never purchase a fully customizable piece from Ikea again - this came in 9 different pieces (and we were missing hinges bc the associate didn't key the pack slip right). When you get it home, you're on your own with no clue as the order of what piece goes where. The instructions were a joke, literally we had to laugh or I would have just cried. Over 3 hours to get it somewhat assembled - and we are experienced with building Ikea furniture. Then the realization that it's just a piece of crap sets in. It's wobbly with just a poor design - there is no securing cross-section like in the other units we've purchased and the drawers catch and rub no matter how much we tried to adjust the cabinet. The only plus was that the return process was very simple (after a 90 minute drive ONE WAY). AVOID at all costs!
Must be fixed to the wall and the doors crashes with each other.AdrianaIt looks so pretty.. but... but.. but... the doors crashes with each other, my last try will be to get the push to open drawer instead of the slow close runner to see if it help with the crashes. At this point I am thinking if is worth to buy anything else there... too much issues. I will have to return two units plus a Besta buffet fully assembled. ugh..
Wobbly and Poor QualityMichaelLike one other reviewer, I should listened to the reviews. This is absolutely the worst piece of IKEA furniture I have ever purchased and built. I've built dozens of IKEA items. This one ends up being wobbly and unsafe. It's not properly braced and uses cheap materials. IKEA knows better, so I'm not sure what happened here. I had to add several braces to ensure this item was minimally safe. The directions are horrible. This is a kludge of several different items and doesn't come as a standalone package with coherent directions. You're on your own. Good luck. I think this is the last OKEA visit for us.
Beautiful StorageAudreyI don't understand all the bad reviews for this! I bought for of these for my condo with additional besta storage to go on top to make the whole thing a floor to ceiling unit. They were easy to put together. There's castors on the bottoms which can be adjusted thus eliminating this rocking that people are complaining about. All the doors adjust as well, so if they're crooked it's because you haven't adjusted them correctly. My shelves are beautiful and sturdy and have gotten many compliments! I'm just sad I didn't take them with me when I sold my condo, but I intend to buy them again for my new house.

So disappointedElenaIt’s true what they other reviews say. I didn’t listen thinking I could get it to work. But it was lopsided/not square so I couldn’t get the drawers to go in. I spent hours trying to make it work and I couldn’t. It’s definitely FAR from stable, unlike other IKEA furniture. I don’t know why this design flaw has not been fixed. I will have to return this product.
One key design flaw affecting assemblyRichWe like Ikea furniture, and this one looks good and is functional, but it has one key design flaw that Ikea needs to address.
With other Ikea cabinets, like Billy, there's a way to slide the back piece into the slots and into final position with the frame assembled and shelves in place. The assembled frame keeps everything square, and the shelves support the back piece as you slide it down the slots and into place.
(note: the back is thin and bends and folds easily)
With this Besta cabinet, one end of the frame can't be attached when adding the back piece, and since it uses glass shelves neither of the advantages mentioned with the Billy exist. This makes getting the back piece into place and retained within the slots difficult at best.
With any warping of the frame sides, things are worse.
I also had to use framing wire strung between nailed-in loops, weights on the wire, and wood glue to gain confidence in the final build.
Don‘t buy it!ValentinaThe frame is swelling, which makes the doors look inclined. Despite having 3 glass shelves and two additionally bought wooden shelves (and paid extra for them!!!), it looks crooked.
As we called the customer service to ask for the additional wooden shelves (we thought we could fix the storage), the operator was rude and very arrogant.
We bought other furniture from IKEA before, mainly from the HEMNES collection, and never had problems.
So hands off of this product, save your nerves!!

Material
What is constructed board?
We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fiberboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.
