so cheaply madeChristineYou'll see it in my review and a bunch others below. I bought this because it fits the space i have perfectly and is tall enough to allow for more storage. I ignored the warnings that it is cheaply made and can't even support itself without becoming lopsided. Well guess what, those reviewers were right.
This thing is made so cheaply that even without anything inside, the doors title downwards so they don't sit horizontal to the floor, but at an angle because the hinge isn't strong enough to support them and keep them horizontal. the whole thing will title to one side or another too. it doesn't help that I have it on carpet, but come on it should be able to hold it's own shape! Disappointing. IKEA quality is in the gutter these days.
I was a bit wary on this at first...NikiSo there are ONLY 8 screws that hold the entire frame together. In order to keep those screws in, the little inserts that slide into the holes are plastic. I did not like that and prefer the metal, so I was afraid if they would break or not. As many others have said, yes, this does have a tendency to sway a bit, but due to where I have it placed, this is not a problem for me and it's pretty stable. I really like this storage cabinet!

Cheap!KellyI ordered this on 3/9 for delivery and didn’t receive until the 17th. Unfortunately I got everything but the frame and had to wait until the 25th for it. When my husband then started to put it together he noticed two plastic pieces were shattered in the bag. Now the whole thing is off center and rocks back and forth when touched. Horrible experience and such a cheap cabinet.
DO NOT BUY!!!!!!CarlaPlease do not waste your money. As the other reviews stated, this unit sways and very unstable. I connected it to the wall and it was still unstable! I went back and forth with customer service for a month just for them to offer me to return it. Discount would be better because this item is not worth $260. Returning items are a hassle. I no longer have the box and Ikea is 40 minutes away.
The worst!Anonymous reviewerI’ve built 2 IKEA kitchens and found them fairly easy to assemble and adjust. This cabinet is terrible. Door hinges won’t adjust properly. Very unstable. I’m returning it. It’s too bad. It looks nice in the picture and suits my space well.
Worst experience with IKEA product ever!AnonymousI’ve purchased & assembled IKEA products for 30 years. Never have I come across a product that is so lacking in quality. There are only 8 screws that hold the frame together. The screws are so poor quality & strip as you hand tighten them because the factory pilot wholes are too tight. Save your wrists, shoulders & palms and use power drill despite instruction manual saying not to! The round anchors that hold the screws in place are now made of plastic! They used to be metal. Sliding the paperboard backing requires three sets of hands or it will crack. The frame wobbles badly even with shelves in. You must anchor this unit to the wall. We had to go to Home Depot to buy ‘L’ brackets to mount it to the wall. The long screws provided are only good if you’re aligned with a stud.
I am so disappointed in the quality of this product and advise that you find something else. Although I suspect the quality of other products will, manufactured in the last 2-3 years, will be just as shoddy.
Truly unstableSabeenIkea products are usually built to last but this besta unit sways like its ready to do a hula dance. The plastic inserts are no help (where metal was usually provided), and without some sort of support from the back, it is really a disappointment.
Looks and size wise it's great and just what we needed, but due to the quality of the build, we're needing to throw this out and buy something entirely different. Save your cash and buy an alternative. (Billys are still the best TBH).

Versatile and affordableAmyI installed this unit in my entryway to hold all my families shoes. I couldn’t be happier. My husband has very large shoes and other shoe storage solutions do not work. I have eight shelves in here and it holds the shoes for a family of four including snow boots! I would never find anything like this at another store - I know because I searched for months!
