Hole in the duvet after washingGavinI was excited to use this duvet cover, but after the first wash (following care instructions), a hole appeared in the fabric. I hadn’t even had the chance to put it on my bed yet.
When I brought it to my local IKEA and explained the situation, I was told they couldn’t exchange or return it simply because it had been washed—despite the damage clearly being a quality issue, not normal wear and tear.
I’ve shopped at IKEA for years, but this was disappointing. I understand return policies, but refusing to stand behind a product that failed on first use feels unfair.

When I laid it out on my bed (which is in front of a window that gets plenty of sunlight) it was just giving washed out gray. Beware that it won't look as nice separate from the color section in the store!
Fabric is horrible AmyI’ve had duvets from ikea for years and loved them all. This one is a gigantic step down in quality. Im not too picky about thread count or texture but this is the worst duvet I’ve ever felt. The fabric is so rough and scratchy I could hardly get to sleep. Believe the reviews that say this is scratchy.

Happy sleeper! ElizabethI recently purchased two twin duvet inserts & these covers for our king sized bed. I was worried that there weren't any ties to keep the duvet insert in place. They fit together perfectly, though, and are easy to put together. The insert doesn't shift around. Really appreciate the quality & affordability - I have ordered a second backup set!
Great Duvet CoverMaureenDuvet cover is nicer than expected. The material is substantial without being too heavy, pillow cases and cover are very well made and 100% cotton. I believe this set will last and not fall apart after 6 months! The subtle stripe adds a nice look.
Great duvet coverMeredithGot this for my teenage son's bedroom. It's neutral enough to complement many styles and the color/ pattern feel age appropriate for a teen but also for an adult. It's also quite soft and fits our Ikea duvet nicely (not too big). He really likes it and I like it especially when he makes his bed!
Small size, stiff fabric. It's a no for me. KaylaThree stars because the pattern and colors were gorgeous and exactly what I wanted, and that price is hard to beat. Lost one star because the fabric was so stiff and itchy, even after three washes, it felt like sandpaper on my skin. Lost another star because the length was way too short. I have a king bed and bought the king set, it barely covered the mattress on the sides (no box spring). Maybe this will work if you have a queen and you buy a king set? I guess I can suggest this set for a guest room though, no one will want to stay longer than two nights in it.
