Good Inexpensive SharpenerJamesThis is a very simple sharpener at a low price, but it has some very nice features. It can be used left or right handed, there is a plastic guard for both the hand and to keep the blade aligned, and the sharpening element is stone and not metal which gives a better edge. I highly recommend it.5

Knife sharpenerTERRYJust what I was looking for. Very compact and it saved my knife which had dull chip on the blade. I filled this with water and ran the knife thru it a few times and it smooth the blade evenly. Make sure to empty the water out and towel dry the stone before storing it away.5

Good so farHollyI’ve only had this a couple of months, but it’s been excellent for the price so far. I set it in the sink with a bit of running water on it, and a couple of swipes through has kept my ikea knives sharp. I can’t speak to how well it would sharpen a dull knife. However, if you run your knives through regularly, it seems to work well.5
