Bad quality HamedIt feels so cheap when you push it.
Doesn’t worth the price for sure. 1
Best nights!AlexandrineWe purchased a Tempur Pedic but the heat was so unbearable that we returned it. We gave a try with this one and have enjoyed both the cooling side and the comfort on the hips. We got the same model for the RV.5
High quality materials, too firm for meMichelleThis is a high quality mattress, no complaints at all about the quality for the price. However, it's just too firm for me and my husband.
We were told to give it some time to let it fully expand. We didn't sleep on it for a few nights to allow it to finish. Now that we've been sleeping on it, though, we just don't feel that we can keep it. If you like a very firm mattress, though, this is a good one for you. I wouldn't call it "medium firm" I would call it "firm" for certain.3
horrible lower back painJohnThis mattress has already started to sink and deform and I bought it less than 5 months ago. I recently started waking up with horrible debilitating back pain due to this mattress. Huge waste of money and I will likely be throwing it away and spending more on something that will actually last me. Don't be deceived by laying on this mattress in the store room, it will not stay like that after extended use.1
Lost support within a few months and started to sinkGeoNever ever purchase this if you are looking for a medium firm mattress. Starts out as advertised, but within a few months starts to sink and loses any support, compressing and misaligning your spine. IKEA was not helpful when I attempted to return because it was outside the “window of allowed returns”. 1
Lumpy, Sink In, Back PainAnonymousI got this mattress after returning the Abrotten. It appears to be IKEA’s best mattress. It’s lumpy on the sides, which improved some with time but is still notable. It is also giving me back pain. The display in the store felt better quality. Disappointed.3
Comfortable MattressH DouglasGreat mattress for big and tall5
Top Foam Layers give in causing a big depresssionTejinderpalTop layers of foam feel firm but once you lay on it these layers just sink in creating a depression in matteress causing severe back pain. I had to return it within couple of months as it was not comfortable at all. Unfortunately IKEA don't have any other matteress that fit my liking, so all money is stuck with IKEA because of their return policy ( Refunds on Store card only). I think Haugsvar Matteress were better in quality.2
Bad and Worst MattressUsamaWaste on money & Ikea don't return money. Very Disappointing & worst mattress.1
It’s my favorite oneMariiaThe mattress is very comfortable. Sleeping on it is a real pleasure. It’s exactly what I wanted.5
Smaller than malm bed framePatriciaJust got it to use in a malm bed frame that I purchased 4 years ago and to my surprise it’s much smaller than the frame leaving almost 2 inches between the end of the mattress and frame. Called IKEA and after 20 min waiting in line they just said it was expected for products to change size… aren’t mattresses supposed to be standard?1
Firm MattressKeithIt is a well built firm mattress. This is our 2nd one, the first lasted almost 11 years. Only issue is the mattress never expanded to the advertised thickness of 9.5 inches. It is still only 8 inches thick after several months.4
AnnelandMerryNot as comfy other mattresses I’ve bought with IKEA. It is not the full 9” it says it’s supposed to be. Definitely needs a topper.3
Too firm, not worth the price!ClaireI previously had an IKEA mattress that I adored, and my partner and I purchased this one for our new home. It felt comfortable in the store, but after using it for a year, we're having to replace it. Very thin, too firm (even the plush version) and is causing us both joint pain. If it were cheaper I wouldn't be as frustrated, but for $800 I'd expect better quality.2
Good but too firmAnindyaUsed it for a while, but it became unbearable! Nothing wrong with the quality, but just too firm for me.3
Anneland Mattress - Not Truly Firm, Caused Back DiscomfortTAs a 200+-lb side sleeper, I purchased the firm version of the ÅNNELAND hybrid mattress expecting strong support and durability. Unfortunately, it does not feel firm at all. The mattress is noticeably soft and compresses much more easily than expected.
When sitting on the bed—especially near the edges—it collapses significantly and does not hold its shape. Edge support is weak, making it feel unstable when getting in and out of bed. Under my weight, it lacked the structural support I need, and after sleeping on it, I began experiencing increased lower back discomfort.
Because of this, I returned it for an exchange and purchased the VALEVÅG Extra Firm mattress instead, which better meets my support needs.
While the ÅNNELAND may work for lighter individuals or those who prefer a softer feel, I would not consider it a true “firm” mattress for heavier side sleepers seeking strong support and durability.3
Sireously bad matrasessDamirThis isn’t just about a mattress 🛏️, it’s about sleep 😴, health 🧠, money 💸, and trust, and IKEA really dropped the ball here.
You’re not crazy ❌🤯. A lot of people have noticed the same thing lately:
IKEA’s “medium” now feels like extra-firm 🧱
Foams are denser and cheaper with almost no pressure relief 😖
What used to break in over weeks now basically doesn’t break in at all ⏳❌
Two months is more than enough time ⏱️. If it still feels like concrete now, it’s not “breaking in” — it’s just the wrong build for your body 🚫🛏️.
And the no-return policy on a $600 mattress? Brutal 😤💸. That’s not pocket change. Feeling “wasted” makes total sense — you paid for rest and recovery, and instead you’re waking up in pain every morning 😣😵💫.1
Firmer and thinnerArvinzayaI bought an Anneland mattress with medium firmness about 3 weeks ago because I had to return the Ikea Haugsvār under warranty, and got the store credit for the returned Haugsver, hoping it'd be a proper successor. The Haugsvar I had was medium hybrid mattress. But the Anneland is thinner and firmer than the Haygsvar. I wake up in the middle of the night in pain like I've never had before. Mostly I sleep on my side, and this mattress is specially designed to find every pressure point possible to ensure a restless night's sleep. Ikea's return policy is no-good. You can only exchange the mattress for a store credit only. I'm thinking to exchange it with plush firmness or buying an expensive topper on it. In the future I would not buy a mattress from Ikea. 2
ConfyAnonymousJust perfect for me, no too soft but not too firm. I thought it was deeper but it does the job and I sleep very well5
GoodFatouGreat quality, comfortable and nice. I like it5
