Care
Wipe clean using a damp cloth and a mild cleaner.

Super useful drawer unitAndyI have so many Alex drawer units in both the short and tall versions. They are a great way to add drawers in for just storage or in this case I used them to support a table top. It can be challenging to get teh screws engaged with the top through the top of the drawer unit, but it looks great once you get it all assembled.
Would recommendMilindaIt took a little time to build but it is a solid piece of furniture! I plan to order a 2nd one because of the winter sale! I do kind of wished I got the wider one but it’s ok! I’ll have 5 extra drawers!

Easy assembly, good qualitySherrieAssembly was easy... Pictures.were incredibly important because none of the pieces are numbered or labeled... So at times, it is necessary to take a picture of the instruction on my phone and blow it up to see item detail for assembly orientation... Quality Of the alex is exceptional, but at time of purchase it is not clear that castors are not included and must be purchased separately.

Five Alex Drawer Units...LucyWe've just finished putting together 5 Alex Drawer Units to use in setting up sewing tables for our 3 machines. These units are lovely, providing great storage. The directions for assembly were clear and easily followed. We encountered one problem--a drawer side piece with a production flaw that made it impossible to tighten it in place. Ikea customer service for that issue was excellent--a new part arrived in a timely fashion, allowing us to complete the project. We couldn't be happier with this purchase.

What is particleboard?
Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill leftovers – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a resource instead of possibly being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look.
