This sofa has an effortless stylishness and straightforward exterior with a well-tailored soft cover and comfortable inner pocket springs. The slim legs reinforce the tranquil and airy look.

The neat and balanced silhouette combined with an expressive look is a perfect base for making the sofa more personal with cushions and throws.

We have made ÄPPLARYD sofa super comfy with soft covers and puffy cushions together with pocket springs that follow your body and support diverse positions – from sitting upright to lying down and relaxing.

Comes in different sizes and shapes to suit both small and large spaces.

Choose your ÄPPLARYD with a cover you like. Soft velvet Djuparp in single-toned deep dark blue or rusty reddish brown, or the two-toned grey cotton blend of Lejde with a clear texture and deep color.

The chaise longue can be placed either to the left or right, so you can adapt the sofa to your space and your preferences.

  • To keep your sofa looking good, you should regularly flatten out creases and wrinkles with your hand.

    The velvet reflects light in a characteristic way which may make the color appear as if it changes.

    Press marks that may appear on the velvet usually disappear in time. With your hand, you can gently stroke in the direction of the pile or use a clothes brush. You can also use the vacuum cleaner with the soft nozzle.

    Small fibers may appear on velvet. It happens naturally and they disappear over time and can also be removed with a lint roller.

    Wet marks should always be dried off as soon as possible to stop moisture penetration.

    Remove dust with a lint remover.

    Light stains can be removed with a damp sponge or a mild soapy solution.

    To make sure that velvet maintains its look and feel, it needs to be cared for regularly according to the care instructions included with the product.

  • This cover's ability to resist abrasion has been tested to handle 25,000 cycles. A cover that withstands 15,000 cycles or more is suitable for furniture that should withstand everyday use in the home.The cover has a lightfastness level of 5 (the ability to resist color fading) on a scale of 1 to 8. According to industry standards, a lightfastness level of 4 or higher is suitable for home use.

Material

Velvet

Velvet is made using a traditional weaving technique, which gives the fabric a dense pile that reflects light and gives a fine luster with a slightly shiny look. Thanks to the dense pile, the color looks deep and warm ‒ and the fabric feels cozy and soft against the skin. These qualities have contributed to velvet’s association with luxury. At the same time, it is a material that, if correctly cared for, withstands wear ‒ and that’s why it’s ideal for home furnishing.

“We spend a lot of time on sofas. Reading, relaxing, watching TV or talking. For some, a sofa is an extension of themselves while being a centrepiece in the room. With ÄPPLARYD, I wanted to make a sofa that stands out design-wise and yet feels like a given part of everyday situations. Comfy to sit and lie on, with inner pocket springs and a well-tailored exterior with a distinct silhouette and tactile covers. No compromises. Just a timeless sofa with contemporary qualities.”
