The ÄLGANÄS series has a slim and airy design with bold and playful shapes – and smart and simple functions.

More space for your things. Enjoy lots of storage options in such a small area that not even the narrowest of hallways feels too cramped.

Made of powder-coated metal which is easy to clean and is a durable material suitable for storing outdoor clothes and shoes.

The hat and coat stand comes with 5 large hooks in different heights and positions to allow access from all sides and create efficient storage.

In addition to the fixed hooks, there are 2 flexible smaller hooks with straps included that you can place where you like and move around as needed.

The basket at the bottom has 3 compartments and is perfect for umbrellas, yoga mats, sports equipment and other oblong items.

Freestanding and easy to move from room to room at home or to bring with you when you move.

A great complement to your wardrobes – a place to hang tomorrow's outfit, to keep dirty clothes off the floor before they’re ready for the laundry or to dry a jacket.

Arrived dentedJorieThe bottom/bucket part was caved in during delivery. I hoped to replace it, but the item had sold out in blue. It looks nice, as shown, but I'd say it's a bit fragile if it's going to get heavy use.3
Needs weightGudrunI assembled this, easy. However, it was very tippy. A 10lb hand weight in the bucket or a 5lb weight plate around where the pole attaches to the bucket fixed the problem. 4
Rickety. Avoid.RuthThe lip of the "wheel" piece that's supposed to fit snugly on top of the bucket (basically as if it were all one piece) doesn't fit the circumference of the bucket. It's so awkward!! You're wrestling, trying to get it to balance just right so the whole thing doesn't fall over. The circumference of the piece is the tiniest bit too small, I think, but it's hard to say. I had my husband have a go at it too, since he's much more mechanically inclined, and he didn't have any be tter luck. He agreed that it's just the piece. It's poorly made. Don't buy. Not worth it.1

But I also wanted the design to feel typical of IKEA with simple yet playful shapes – and at a good price.
