Sinks after a few monthsSeanIKEA is the brand that got me to consider how good a foam mattress can be, however the one I slept on originally was from an out of stock model. I tried this one and started using it January 2026, only after about four months it starts dipping in the middle. I use the IKEA Malm queen frame with the Luroy curved slats. I would like help with my warranty, because this product is not as firm as it claims.1
Nice mattressJeffreyI am using this mattress without a box spring on a metal frame with metal bars and cannot feel the bars at all when laying down on it I did get the less firm one though cause the firmer one felt too hard5
Unsleepable!VickyLet’s start by saying that I got this mattress by error of the employee. I wanted to purchase the medium firm, the QR code provided for me to pay for was the firm (the name is the same) did not noticed until at home and after leaving the mattress expand for the 72 hrs. Had to go back and return it as this is not firm, is as hard as if you were sleeping in the floor. Material seemed good, not too thick, but truly cannot sleep on it.1
ComfortableFaneethaUsed by the guests and they said it is very comfortable and they slept well every night.5
Great dealLeslieReplaced a TempurPedic with this. Seriously. And my back is sooo much happier.5
Amazing product IulianaDid not expect it will be that firm since it is foam mattress, recommend 5
HORRIBLEMirzaTerrible mattress. The back pain is non stop and no way to relieve it. Do NOT buy1
Back pain! RabiaWithin six months of purchasing this mattress, I began experiencing severe back pain due to a noticeable dip that would form after just a few hours of sleep. At first, I assumed it was related to my sleeping position, it seemed unlikely that a second mattress from Ikea, within just three years, would cause the same issue. I tried rotating the mattress and switching sides, but nothing helped. I’m hoping the return process, at the very least, is a smoother experience1
Back Pain & Sink In EffectAnonymousI had to return it. What a pain; I had to rent a truck. This mattress gave me a sore back. It also has a pronounced sink in effect. I have a tendency to move around a lot and the sink in was a problem.1
Not that firmAnonymous reviewerNot nearly as firm as we expected. We tried this in the store too. Also feels a bit lumpy. Did not expect any of this. Quite disappointed.3
MattressWilliamWe purchased this mattress it has helped my wife and I to sleep better. It's very firm which I needed. I had back surgery and the firmness of this mattress was what I needed to keep my back straight.5
Not very thickHannahIt’s nice but I feel the slats of my king bed through it4
Extremely uncomfortable ViacheslavWithin the first month of use, it develops a dip. I think it’s because of the so-called memory foam. I’d exchange it, but it seems it’s too late. 1
Very Disappointed – Poor Quality Mattress & Frustrating Return PolicyAltaf UddinThe mattress foam feels very cheap and possibly defective. When you lie down, it sinks too deep and doesn’t bounce back properly. It’s hard to roll over because the foam stays compressed and slowly regains shape. Within a short time, both my wife and I began experiencing back pain.
The return process has been just as frustrating. The store is 2 hours away, and I was told I must drive there, pay a $39 pickup fee, and then wait for someone to collect it. If I had a truck, I could return it myself — but instead I have to make a long trip just to pay extra? That was never clearly explained.
Now they’re saying I won’t receive a full refund and will only get store credit for my $634 purchase. I dont want store credit, no one mentioned about this policy.
Very frustrating experience. I would not recommend buying a mattress from IKEA.1
Great only for 4 monthsDesislavaI bought the medium firm, at first it was very comfortable and after 3-4 months I started having back pain shoulder pain. I rotated it and my pain continued and now it’s about eight months and I can no longer sleep on this bed. I kept thinking it was the way I would sleep. So I made sure to sleep on my back. It was the worst mistake. When you first lay it feels supportive but throughout the night the foam I guess squishes and you have no support and you feel like you’re collapsing into the bed. I’m only 130. Pounds 5.6 athletic. This mattress should be able to last more than 5 months. Save your self the money and don’t buy it. I guess it would be a good purchase for a kid but not adults.1
It's getting way too soft after 6 monthsDevajitLiked the firmness when we tried it at the store but after using it for 6 months it's getting way too soft and uncomfortable to use. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS.1
FantasticSusanVery comfortable5
A bit too softRebeccaAt first I liked the mattress. What I don’t like about it is that it’s a bit on the soft side. If I sit on my bed to put my shoes on, I sink down. I’m not a large person but wish this had a little more sturdiness.3
Defective as it doesn't expand well and feels unevenAshishFirst bought this mattress in Nov-25 and it didn't inflate more than 5inch even after leaving it for 2 months and I had to use my old mattress until then. I finally decided to return it and processed the return through an online customer service agent thus my mattress was picked up from home, however the refund hasn't been processed even after 10 days. Ordered the same mattress again thinking the first one must be defective however the second one also seems to be defective as it hasn't inflated more than 3-4 inch in the last 1 week in comparison to the advertised 8 inch. Planning to return this and go for another model all together. Ikea's products and services are declining fast and as a regular customer it is painful to see defective products and poor after sales service and refund delays.1
Terrible MattressJillThis mattress never inflated. It was very flat and didn’t come up to the depth that was stated. I was never able to use it. It turned out to be a terrible experience for me and a lot of hassle, but eventually, I was able to return it to IKEA.1
