          beautiful thin wool rugDominiqueShips nice and small, it came packaged in a small box, folded into a square. The rug unfolded and smoothed out well. We have high humidity, maybe that helped. It is not a high pile rug, its a flat woven wool, not too thick. Colors are crisp, just as in the photo (we got green). It is not heavy, so like all wool rugs of a certain weight its not 100% flat, but I dont see that as a manufacturing default. I know that others thought the price point was high, but right now for a 100% wool rug, its pretty comparable, inflation is real. I have had it for about 6-months now. Mine has no defects. I wish I got the larger size!5

          Wanted to love…VeeI wanted to love this rug because in theory (while in store) it’s perfect. When I brought it home it just feels flat… figuratively and literally. I just don’t think it’s worth the price. I was truly hoping it would grow on me.1
          A delight.EvanThe wool feels sturdy and nice underfoot. The greens vary from cool to warm and are nicely variegated end to end. You can feel some slight texture from where the white bands meet the green. Seems like it’ll hold up, and so far it’s resisted stains OK, and spills were easy to blot up. It was an inch or so smaller all around than the rug TRANGET we had before, which should have been 1:1 in size. The weave feels stronger and thicker than tranget, though, so the trade off is worth it. 4
          Quality, color and nature all in one! CarminI had this rug delivered because I thought it wouldn’t fit in my car. Surprisingly, it arrived folded inside of a zipped canvas bag in a box. Amazing! The folds flattened out in a couple of days. The pattern reminds me of being in a birch tree forest on a foggy day. The flat weave works great for us and should be very easy to clean up any spills. 5

          Form design process

          Made using the pit loom weaving technique

          The pit loom, as the name suggests, is positioned over a pit, and the wooden frame is angled for horizontal weaving. The artisan sits underneath the frame, and controls it with foot pedals and their hands, crafting rugs with intricate patterns and designs. This setup enables working from both above and below the frame, achieving a very tight weave. Producing a rug with this technique takes about 2-3 days, resulting in a work of art that can add character to any home.
