Designed to be used both on its own throughout the home and is also a perfect fit with other furniture in the HAUGA series, either to coordinate the style or create bigger storage solutions.
Of course your home should be a safe place for the entire family. That’s why a safety fitting is included so that you can attach the storage unit to the wall.
The frame is easy to assemble thanks to the construction with a wedge dowel that easily clicks into the pre-drilled holes.

Offgassing, Outgassing is strong and severeRobertI recently assembled a new Hauga cabinet and am extremely annoyed and worried by the intense, chemical particle-board odor filling the room. Even after 2 weeks of keeping the window open, the pungent smell has not gone away, meaning severe offgassing from the boards. I like IKEA products and have lots of them in the house but never this severe outgassing. I would not wish this problem on anyone. If it weren't so big and already screwed into my wall, I would return it to the store.

Looks great in my living room!JohnnieI got these and the matching center unit I'm using as a TV stand for my 50" tv. It took me forever to decide on a set for my living room wall. I'm 59 and downsized to small 1950s bungalow house. Some sets are too big or too bulky. This one is perfect. Love the little angles on the top. They match the angles on a vintage built-in phone stand in my hallway. Perfect height, really makes my small place look taller. Tons of storage and pretty sturdy. I had task rabbit put everything together. It looks really nice and fits my TV wall perfectly while leaving space for the HVAC return. Thank you ikea! Great experience!

great valueSusanassembly was straightforward - just pay attention to the orientation of some of the pieces with holes (the assembly instructions do point out and you can see which way you should orent the pieces)
you do need 2 people to join the top to the bottom base
i hope the particle board holds up (read some reviews here where that could be issue if you have heavy items)

3 years in...Doors falling apartMyaThese have looked so nice in my loving room, fits perfectly, held up well except for the doors. The doors come already assembled, so its not something we did wrong, but the doors are falling apart one by one. They don't even receive extra heavy use, just normal use and out of the 12 doors in my 6 cabinets I've had to glue 6 of them back together, one of them fell apart so badly I could not repair it and another one fell apart today. Everything I assembled myself has held up great. The cost was high enough I would not recommend these to someone who wants something to last more than a couple years apparently.
Looks GreatMorganThe Hausa bookcase is nice. The grey color is neutral and works well with blues and other shades of gray. The shelves adjust in the top and bottom sections making it easy to store many different size items.
Sturdy and roomyPatriciaLove how much storage these cabinets have. They are also very sturdy and not at all wobbly. The depth of the shelves allows for storage of larger items than most shelves.

Hauga High Cabinet with Two DoorsSharonWell... this is an attractive, sturdy, solid unit with a great design. A breeze to assemble -- until one gets to the hinges. Actually the hinges are not the real issue here; it's the screws. Just like the Havsta series that have hinges, the screws for these hinges are extremely sub-standard in quality. They are junk, making it quite likely that even the most skilled and meticulous assembler will fail to align the doors perfectly. Like I said, the rest of the parts assemble beautifully. Get some good hardware and raise the price if you must, IKEA.
