Annoying strobe effect when dimmed... DouglasI'm disappointed that this fixture seems to use a "cheap" dimming circuit which produces a noticeable flicker or strobe effect when dimmed using the built-in knob. It was also a bit difficult to assemble, with several layers to connect. The fixture looks good when off, but the strobe ruins it for me.
They're OKAnonymous reviewerLike the design, easy to install. The light they give off is WARM and not as bright as I'd like for a bathroom. I like daytime/white light to do my make up, and unfortunately these aren't it. And like another reviewer said- they're all in one- so it's not like I can change the bulb.
Very Ikea, and yet...NicholasAs with most IKEA products, this is a good value, good quality item. That said, it is all-in-one (a very unIKEA concept), such that when the bulb goes out, the whole lamp is done for. As it is a hardwired lamp, this means rather more complexity and cost to replace.
Wrong Mounting Bracket SizeMichaelThe mounting bracket hardware that comes with these lights is not the correct size for a US receptacle/mounting box...
I had to drill a new hole in the bracket then I had to attach the bracket to the receptacle and attach the light fixture to the bracket to make this work.
This was a completely unnecessary hassle and I'm surprised that IKEA sells these lights with mounting hardware that doesn't work.
That all said, they LOOK nice if you're able to rig a mounting solution.
Not worth itStevenNot worth the headache. Wires not marked, have to have everything hanging while wiring, metal base plate is very misaligned and you may need to drill your own holes. Looks ok. Regret my purchase.
Beautiful light Anonymous reviewerI installed two around a mirror in my half bath.
They are really modern and pretty, and put off a really nice light. The big issue for me is that they are not compatible with hardwired dimmers. I'm disappointed that this wasn't clear in the description but thankfully the dimmer knob on each fixture is within easy reach.
