Focus on the bed’s first impression

For a revamp that can be as impactful as repainting, switch duvet cover sets to a different pattern, color or material. Many duvet cover sets are made of blended materials. Switch out a lamp or two

Assess the window treatments

First, check that curtains or blinds are functional. Do guests need to make the room darker or more private? Are block-out curtains still doing their job?

Next, consider the window treatments in relation to the bedding. Do they match or complement each other? If the bedding is a solid color, would patterned curtains liven things up? Vice versa?
