Removal Services

How it works:

Get your old furniture removed! It’s an easy way to make space for your new purchase and one less thing on your to-do list.  If you have old IKEA furniture in good condition and can get it to a store yourself, IKEA Family members could earn IKEA credit through our Buy back & resell program. 

Removal services are available when you shop at your local IKEA store:

Buy a mattress, sofa, or appliance in-store, and schedule the in-home delivery and removal service for an additional $30. When you get home, prepare your old items to be removed. Removal service is not guaranteed on the same date or time as your qualifying delivery.

Mattress removal

Mattress removal is available in-store starting at $30 when you purchase a mattress or box spring with in-home delivery in select markets. This service is currently not available with purchases made online. Removal service is not guaranteed on the same date or time as your qualifying delivery. In California, Connecticut, Oregon, and Rhode Island, mattress retailers are required to offer removal services of used mattresses, futons and box springs when delivering a new one. So don’t kick your old mattress to the curb! Please note, if you live in CA, CT, OR, or RI, a mattress recycling fee is applied at purchase as required by state mandate. Sofa removal

Sofa removal is available in-store starting at $30 when you purchase a sofa or similar product (sectional, loveseat, futon) with in-home delivery in select markets. This service is currently not available with purchases made online. Removal service is not guaranteed on the same date or time as your qualifying delivery.
