What’s the difference between IKEA Kreativ in the IKEA app and IKEA Kreativ on a web browser?

Both versions of IKEA Kreativ offer the same great virtual room design experience, letting you add and arrange IKEA furniture and decor in a room. The main differences come down to how you create and interact with your space.


Both versions offer the same core design experience. You can add, arrange, and swap IKEA furniture in a room on either platform. A few features are platform-specific, though, so it's worth knowing which one works best for what you're trying to do.

Whole Room Scanning

Scanning a full room to create a 3D model is only available in the app, on LiDAR-enabled devices. Once scanned, you can continue designing in either the app or on the web.

Room Builder

Building a 3D room by entering custom dimensions is currently only available on the web.

Zoom

Zoom is available throughout the app. On the web, it's only supported in Room Builder.

Sharing and Remixing

On the web, you can share a Remix link so others can open and edit your design. In the app, you can share an image of your design, but Remix links aren't supported.
