How do I scan a room on IKEA Kreativ?
Revamping your current space into your ideal home is straightforward with IKEA Kreativ. Scan the space using our mobile app, then design and refine the vision on either your phone using the app or your computer using the IKEA website.
- Download the App: Get the IKEA mobile app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
- Open the App: Launch the app and navigate to your profile by tapping the person icon in the top left corner.
- Access Settings: Tap on "Settings," scroll down to find "IKEA Kreativ," and select it.
- Activate the Scan Feature: Tap the camera icon in the top right corner to access the scan feature.
- Select a Room: Choose the type of room you want to scan. You can scan kitchens or bathrooms, but we recommend using the dedicated IKEA kitchen and bathroom planners for better results.
- Select an Option (conditional):
- LiDAR-enabled devices:
- Photographic Wide-Angle Scan: Capture a photo of your room and erase unwanted items.
- Full Room Scan: Create a digital twin of your room, starting with an empty space.
- Devices without LiDAR: Automatically defaults to Photographic Wide-Angle Scan.
- Start Scanning: The app will then guide you through the scanning process, automatically selecting the best method for your device, whether it's 5 Point Panoramic, Ultrawide, or 1-Scan LiDAR.
- Once you've captured your space, you can design it directly on your mobile device or on the IKEA Kreativ website. Log in with the same credentials used for capturing your space.
- If you'd like to remove current items, you can do so using our Eraser tool. Accessing it differs depending on your device:
- Web Browser: Use the top toggle and switch to "Erase Items". Clicking on a yellow outlined item will remove it using Eraser. If you'd like to remove all items, simply click "Hide All". You can always undo this step by clicking "Show all".
- Mobile App: Locate "Erase" on the right-hand sidebar. You can choose to either "Hide All" or "Show All", or select individual yellow outlined items to remove. Hit the check mark once you're satisfied with the room.
- After designing your custom space, save your designs and share them with others.
- Remixing rooms is a web only feature allowing users to send their designs to others for editing. On mobile, users can only share their designs.
