Can I resize an item or adjust the dimensions of the room in IKEA Kreativ?
Whether you're snapping or uploading a photo of your space, completing a Whole Room Scan, building your room in 3D, or using one of our pre-built Showrooms, the same concept applies: we aim to provide an accurate representation of how products will fit in your space.
No resizing needed! IKEA Kreativ accurately scales every product to match your space, but how dimensions are set varies by the type of room. Pre-built starter rooms come with preset dimensions, Whole Room Scans and Photo Snaps & Uploads detect dimensions from your scan or photo, and Building a Room lets you customize dimensions upfront. Either way, product scale always reflects the room's true size.
Pre-built starter rooms
Products are placed at a 100% accurate scale based on the room’s square footage. If a sofa looks too large in a pre-built room, it's likely too large for a similarly sized real room. In that case, we suggest browsing alternative products.
Whole Room Scan and Photo Snap & Upload
When scanning your room or snapping/uploading a photo, we capture your room dimensions with approximately 97% accuracy when best practices are followed. Products are then scaled to match, so they will be true-to-scale for your real, physical space.
Build your room
Dimensions are customized upfront, and products are placed at a 100% accurate scale based on the room's square footage. Note: Editing room dimensions after the room is created is coming soon!
