Love the table; missing screws made assembly a painKarenNeatly folded, this has useful storage at both ends. We have one end unfolded for a table for 3 of us or two unfolded for guests (it also works for projects, and as a desk). Unlike much of IKEA’s current furniture, it is made of solid wood and has a lovely sturdy feel. The only minor drawback is that it is easier to sit to the right of the center drawers on each side of the table than to the left due to the folding legs; and no one can sit where the drawers are; and it had screws almost impossible to screw in. My One Complaint is that there were screws missing. I own over a dozen IKEA furniture items; this one, and the one I bought last week are the first 2 with missing pieces. Beware. Count everything first since you can exchange your entire (incomplete) purchase for a complete one at the store, otherwise it can take weeks to get replacements. The IKEA agent on the phone said maybe at the store they could get the missing screws from a complete set. Thankfully they did.

An amazingly versatile tableEnricoI'm sure people will use this as a breakfast nook, or for smaller living spaces. I have it in my den next to my recliner. I do a lot of fine work with wood and 3-D printing, this table is amazing because in a few seconds, my den transforms into my work studio. The wood is amazingly beautiful and much more robust than I had anticipated. Rather than using a regular hammer, I used a hard rubber mallet for assembly as even a missed blow won't score the wood.
Sturdy and attractiveHarborI've had mine for a little over two years now as an office desk and work table, and it's held up great. The wood of the one I purchased is a little less saturated and has more knots than the product photos, but honestly I prefer it this way. I've kept a desk mat on the part of the table I use the most, so while I can't speak to the durability of the finish, there at least hasn't been any noticeable fading or discoloration between the covered and uncovered parts of the table, and my cats have jumped on it many times without leaving scratches. The drawers are also deep and useful. The main consideration is that the table is VERY heavy -- it's a little over 100 pounds, so if you're planning on using this as a table that needs to be moved around for any reason, you may want to consider a lighter table. I also recall assembly being difficult, and needing to use a wood lubricant and electric screwdriver for parts of it. Still, it's remained as my favorite piece of furniture in the house.

Solid tableFrancesI purchased this table in birch to use primarily as a sewing table. This table was pretty easy to assemble by myself and it is very heavy. The wood is beautifully finished and the 6 spacious drawers glide nicely. I am very happy with my purchase and love its versatility and the fact that it takes up very little space when folded.
good but hard to assembleJiaminIt requires you put the screw perpendicular (90 degree exactly) to the surface. If you miss a very small degree (< 1 degree), which is unavoidable, the screw would be almost impossible to go in the holes. We ended up spending another $100 and serveral hours to buy the power tools, and it is still not easy to assemble. I don't understand why the holes are not threaded, and why it assumes that everyone has a power tool (in the US)
Can't return after 2yearsAmyI bought it in Nov 2023, just found the receipt and been told that it can't be return. I would accept it if needed charge me for some reason but very disappointed, the reason why I try to return because the bottom of table is very low my floor mopping or sweeping robot always stuck under it, and the area of the floor always dirty, and I have to move it every time, I am tired of it, and this table is very heavy.
Awful to BuildCatherineAs other reviews mentioned, the screws for the hinges are extremely difficult. I ended up using a power tool and still had issues. What I found even more frustrating though, was building the drawers. The bits you have to hammer in need to much force I was mortified with how much I was hammering. I got up at one point to see if my neighbors were home it was so awful. So much hammering! And it’s so loud even with attempts to dampen the level of noise. If you live in an apartment beware.
Amazing Foldable Table/DeskTabThis is my 2nd purchase of this table due to how large and sturdy that it is! It fits perfectly under my windowsill to allow a typical unusable space useable! It is beautiful and works in the two rooms we have them in.

5 star table with 1 star quality controlChrisI love this table. I use it in our gaming room and for that it's perfect.
However, there are negatives. The quality control is awful. This is specifically for the birch version. I don't think the white version that doesn't use real wood is worth it at this price.
First, neither of the table ends line up with the center console due to how the hinge holes were predrilled. Both are just slightly off. Is it super noticeable? No. Does it bug me? Yes.
Second, don't attempt to screw in the hinges without an impact driver. The holes are way too small and like others here have said, you'll strip the screw heads trying to get them in without an impact driver.
Third, on two drawers, the slots to slide in the bottom cardboard piece were misaligned. For the first time ever I had to take out my table saw for Ikea furniture and widen the slots for the pieces to fit.
For the above defects it would have been nice to get it at a bigger discount.

What is particleboard?
Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill leftovers – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a resource instead of possibly being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look.
