The IKEA Assembly: Nasim Lahbichi (@lahbco)

Nasim is a Brooklyn-based recipe developer and culinary creative who was raised in a Puerto Rican-Moroccan household in New York City. Nasim believes there is power in nourishing our bodies, and he wants to help others gain a sense of that power in the kitchen and at the table.

What does home mean to you?

“Home to me is more than just a physical space! It can be the food that you make that reminds you of your family, the memories of your past and the homeland you nourished yourself in. It's also the people you bring into your life, the chosen family you confide in and the people who make you feel safe wherever you are. A home should always be accessible to your needs and reflect who you are as a person, welcoming all the changes to come.”

What describes your personal style at home?

“I love mixing traditional design forms with more of a modern twist. It's a perfect blend of cultured aesthetics with streamlined shape and form that doesn't feel cluttered or gaudy.”
